For those of you who watched the game, would you agree with me that Ole went to Atalanta looking for one point?

There was only one team trying to win this game. When the score was tied at 1-1, Ole was trying to bring Fred on to lock out the game. Then the goal happened and the sub got changed.
We started with a back 5. Once Varane got injured Ole decided to switch it back to a 4-2-3-1 with a back 4 instead of replacing a CB like for like. The immediate effect? United went right back to looking out of sorts all the way up to Ronaldo's injury time goal. Instead of helping the team, Ole is literally killing United with his tactical changes.

The one player who I rate very highly is Varane. The defence looks a different prospect with him in it and a lot of his contribution is rather invisible. Great positioning, great calling.
Varane now being out will be massive for the game against City if he doesn't get fit enough. Maguire looks shot. The Back 5 formation is to cover for Maguire's lack of form but Ole still wanting to play him. Bailly was exceptional. Makes Ole's decision to not play Bailly and instead went for a half fit Maguire in the Leicester game all the more baffling.

If that’s the case, we are doom….

If Varane is injured no way for Ole to play copycat Conte formation so back to individual brilliance formation.

varane is my MOTM last match... positioning, awareness, passing all are way above his two defensive partners... and do think one of the partner worth 80mil but perform like a fridge... he basically there to cover all the mistakes done by maguire... and with him in, the lack of good cdm seems like less obvious... LOL

Every single player (except Bruno and Dave 50%) and coach and Ole should just give their salary to Ronaldo. Imagine if we didn’t sign him this season and we are playing with Masial upfront lols. 2 goals in UCL, 15th in EPL hahahaha. #Oleatthewheel

but pogba & mctom was so poor
mctom should have been subbed earlier due to his card
he was a bit lucky to be on pitch

Our fridge back to old form. Really zzz. Need a back 5 to support him. When reverted to back 4, he looks out of sorts again

ole force him back to early... before the injury he not this bad... now every match he play like lost in the jungle... everytime try to wwe opponent lol only to realize he mark wrong ppl

i thought ole would revert to his old formation and win comfortable but he chose to play 352 against italians...... ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz

italians are so used to playing against 3 at the back...

I feel we created much more clear cut chances with 5-3-2. Once varane out, we returned to old formation, we are back to scrappy form, def more than att. City will tear us apart if we use this old formation again. Maguire nearly gifted the ball that result to goal if not baily bail him out, it will be 3-1 gg.

There's no cb on the bench to replace varane. Can gamble with telles dalot but switching to old formation is safer choice. And it doesn't look good at all. Back to losing streak form.

Same as pool game, atalanta scored when bruno miss a sitter. Sigh. Landscape might change if he scored.

This year ucl is rollercoaster. 3 games with injury time goals. I literally laugh out when cr7 scored in injury time again. Damn good technique, first time volley to corner, just like vs spurs.

Pogba maguire are pissed poor. Pogba offered 1 chance going forward and give ball away dunno how many times. Bruno mctominay are next behind. I don't mind vdb replace bruno/pogba when they out of form. He nearly scored the winner lol.

other teams build the team around the playmaker

ole build his team to cover Maguire

pep will play safe again cause ole counter attack is deadly

It does not matter what formation Utd is playing. The player that save Ole ass so far is Varane. With Maguire out of form and no other CB Ole trust... we can prepare being harass by any team now.
