Too bad, some people like to blame stuffs on foreigners. Property expensive is because of foreigners padahal price floor were introduced to prevent that. Reality is since mm2h were introduced, there were around 3 mil residential property transactions made in Malaysia.
Even if we assume half of mm2h applicants bought a property here, that constitutes only about 0.5% of the total transactions.
Assuming each applicant spends about rm8,000 per month in Malaysia, the direct inflow is RM4 billion per year. Belum kira multiplier effect to the economy when they spend the money locally.
