Poop dont smell but their distinctive pandan smelling urine can get abit nauseating. Also the noise they make when their tails scrape against the plaster ceiling can wake you up at night thinking its an intruder. I had one in my ceiling for two days before he decide to relocate. Difficult to catch these fellas. Best bet is hope they ciao when there is lack of a food supply.

TS maybe reconsider doing away with the mango tree outside your house.

Pandan i heard was the males which emits that smell. usually my ceiling one no smell. only once or twice. but very rarely. last time noisy. but the past few months okay, only visit sometimes haha

Where do u place the trap? On the roof itself?

Then what do u do with it?

I just put on first floor roof outside window. The musang seems like cannot resist the old papaya smell. After catch let go at jungle area.

They will find their way back. If you don”t want them to return , just consume them.

Tried before , sweet & sour civet”s meat not that bad.

I used apple as bait, and most of the time trapped them on ceiling. So far I 10 out of 15 caught from the same spot. And the most recent one trap itself without any bait. (The trap was there for weeks)

They are cute until they party all night long on your ceiling, jumping around until ceiling fall, poop and pee everywhere.
