Depend on what you need.
Unless u going to shoot 4K video all way long, then maybe u need it.

For me 256GB is more than enough.
And as other forummer said, if u wan to sell 1TB phone in future, it may very hard to sell. Unless you going to use it alone until the phone spoiled.

And remember, 1TB is really alot for smartphone. What if *touch wood*, unfortunate it spoil half way and what you going to do with the data inside the phone? Uess you back it up weekly or daily.

When space is not enough, we will automatically save in inside PC or cloud, but when come to 1TB space, most of the people will tend to leave it inside the phone since it is more than enough.

Sorry but a phone is a phone, realistically you don’t need 1TB. Even as content creators, pretty sure you store your files in hard disks and media servers etc.

I think it depends on how you use it, like for me 256gb is nice, for my wife 128gb is overkill coz she uses like around 50gb throughout the year..initially I thought of skipping the 13 this year but wifey prefer the Sierra blue over her super underused Pacific blue..so will be getting the 13PM....now just dilemma to get the 256 or 128, coz potentially she’ll use it for a month or two just for the new colour hype then pass it over to me..

would you guys go for the 128 or 256? read 128 does not support pro movie or something?

reason i am asking is because wife will get a IP13 PM for sure this year since her contract has ended. she thought of getting 128 but i am asking her to get a 256 instead.

currently she is using a IP8 for office and and 11PM for personal. She will be upgrading her IP8. Frankly 128 is enough for her, just that the Pro Movie thingy makes me wonder.

yes you only get to take Pro Res video on 256gb or higher models.. most people will not be using that feature though, even on iphone 12 pro's people dont normally shoot raw photos.... so unless you really need that Pro Res feature then you should get the 256, otherwise, 128 is good enough..... also additional info for you, the 4k resolution video takes about 100 gb storage space per 10 mins shoot...

this year's 13 pro and pro max has the same specs, just the battery capacity difference.
compared to last year's iphone 12 pro and pro max, you will notice the lenses are smaller on the pro
