Yes, this is my thought also. All GDI engine has carbon build up issue, that is the inherent design drawback of the GDI engine.
You may want to read up on port injection and GDI and  the new thing in the block they call it hybrid, where they combine port injection with GDI injection.

Now anyone have any thought about pumping RON97 or RON00 say every month once to clean the injector head? Does it works? For eHev, i think it is not required. Doesn't help much imho, since we use the engine mainly for batt charging and high speed cruising. For regular turbo maybe?
To be honest, the engine is already revved to the max when it is assembled in the factory. So..... to me, i don't follow.

My car send to SC to check the constant noise coming from going thru road bump. SC found the noise caused by lower arm and maybe the link bar thingy clicking, then they fixed it but during fixing it they scratch the fender and the door edge. End up sending it into workshop for repair.. there goes no car to use for countdown New Year 2024. When send to workshop, workshop ppl found out previous workshop did shitty job on repair at fender, so they did additional repair but not sure is covered under SC or not.I know normally workshop count paint job and repair by panel.

even if RS change to honda bose speaker.. the sound quality improvement of 8+1 speaker  seems not significant enough to justify the 2k+ spent,
reason is HU still limited to non-BOSE DSP setting, centre speaker which tapped from left or right. and absence of active subwoofer
you might get a slightly larger soundstage, because the bottom speakers is larger.. but u still cant super crank up the bass similar to default speaker..  the door panel boom and rattle is not fun either.

underseat abit lower height... seems like hard to fit a subwoofer unless those mini type.. then some will not satisfy because not enuff punch..
boot space maybe can put sub.
if want to mod with better sound quality. have to go aftermarket brand with DSP.. like alpine, jbl, kenwood, pioneer, polk etc

also not sure how far changing to aftermarket setup/bose setup will disturb ehev models
as it has active noise control which phase cancels out environment and road noises.. to best effort.
and already factory calibrated with default speaker installation
when introduce diff setup.. all new speakers and sub have different freq response. so the ANC might not be effective or can even introduce more noise to the cabin due to the new speaker's higher gain at certain freq and diff cutoff.
but i guess if audio junkie just crank up volume and bass till drown the noise.. if ferrying family or old folks kenot le..

btw when crv ehev launch can go test drive the 12 bose system and experience it compare with civic.

yea,, if u have extra $$ to splurge can go ahead... since its plug n play.. the A-pillar with bose logo is a nice addition.
i just put treble to 7/8 and mid 4/5 to make vocal/acoustics sound crisper.
but bass put 2/3. it forever lacks punch.. any more than that sound like like crap across my jumbled spotify playlist.

can be improved by putting a subwoofer... but that 1 SC spot sure electronics warranty all void.

Wanna ask, does SC let ppl go into their workshop area during car service? Cos my engine undershield damaged, worry got small animals can go up if no change and water bla bla can splash into engine bay so im thinking wanna change or not. Whole set around 750 not include labour. Gonna see how extensive is the damage also. Sc only tell me got missing clip.

bro the underbody engine cover is factory made of aluminum if u have seen it before.  I am merely getting a 1 to 1 swap lol. Plastic are those aftermarket brand orsen, durable and flexible but not sure good or not. Aluminum is very malleable, it will crumble instead of breaking.

There is not much I can do at this moment except leave it be. And in my case after the underground service it wasn't that bad as previous. I just share my experience to compare notes I suppose.

FC model steering rack change under the tree is around RM1-2k for recond units. Some claim to successfully resolve the issue? Its a shame if this issue has lived for such a long time, but my friend's City GM6 and bro in law's G10 Accord ALL had steering rack issues freezing and jamming, so maybe Honda put too many engineers to the engine department?

Good news is SA told me Honda has extended the warranty on Steering rack to 7 years also for FE. Bad news is you gotta keep paying them another 2 years of in house service. Lol.

Yes, I'm well aware it is not manufactured by Honda. But it will be considered as OEM. So bears all Honda design and marks, if it was a pure vendor side manufacturing issue then it is not difficult to solve, it is a design issue then it is more difficult to solve.

But remember the North American version also affected with sticky steering so it leads me to speculate this is not just a manufacturing error. Unless you say the same part from same vendor from same site is being used by 2 plants - NA and Malaysia....which leads us to be even more confused as to why Malaysia version is recall-free.

Maybe send to workshop that can refurbish the rack to be as new, by changing all the worn out/ damage parts. I read somewhere in FB, got workshop already able to provide that service to most car brand. Instead of spending huge fees for brand new rack

What is DPM issue? If they start a recall then at least they have to acknowledge it openly and any further or subsequent issues can be confidently covered. Even beyond warranty.

Tbh Im not surprised it comes from 1 single vendor. I don’t really care if it comes from single site or multiple. But if you go to Honda distributor and buy the part it carries Honda label and part number and warranty and usability falls on them. You also don’t say I want the US manufactured or India or XYZ part. You only get to ask for the part number.

Ooh bro, the dreaded S word...you caved in. TBH Its now 2 years with the Civic, and I can say quite confidently that if my driving habits / needs do not change (ie I don't suddenly die die must drive a Golf GTI, dont need to drive my kids to school, have access to open roads) my next car will be a SUV. But if there comes a space to park another car, and I do suddenly get a nice lottery, and lastly I found a nice road....GTI or AMG here I come.

But, alas daily troubles like father's knees, wife's back, etc etc etc all come to play and a low car like Civic is just making headache more than pleasure.
Oh PPM, I know what it means, I use statistics at work all the time to manipulate data to my desired outcomes lol. I work in the company that invented PPM/DPM/6 sigma.
