sometime i call this person puan or mrs... but this lady later correctrd me call me cik or miss

question...is it so honor to be called cik? i thought being single more sounds loser. ?

married punya like to be called cik/miss because they feel young again

unmarried punya don't mind puan/madam because it makes them sound like they got value (instead of still single and nobody wants)

Don't know about cik but miss or ms is more prefer if you don't know her marital status or someone prefer to be recognized by her ability? (especially those successful woman) rather than as someone else wife.

Last time a made a call to gov office and asked to put me thru to cik xxxxx, just to make thing more neutral, but the guy who answered the call said she is puan bukan cik, nanti panggil dia puan xxxx.
I was like,ok , is it really matter to differentiate woman according to her marital status.
It just a salutation, why once call cik ,other guy can woo her?

Just shout 'ooiiii'

Call Kak feels more sincere, no?
