great sword user varies from hunter to hunter, some just use plain slice n dice, some use charge, all about timing.
i recommend using hunter armor, since it got autotracker, easy for u to collect ur paintball for later uses.
im hr 4 now
still using hermitaur armor (lowest rank) with gunlance
done g-rank cat quest dual monoblos with that armor

hermitaur is the big crab wif big bone at its back right? how to kill it huh? tried few times but cant manage to kill it also T_T

My very first armor to get in every monster hunter series. Miss those moments.

Keep hitting the legs to trip it. It has very sensitive legs, won't take long for him to fall. After that just keep hitting the body or claws/shell if you want to break etc.

For the folks that is having problem with Mono/Diablos for solo runs - u may consider using a bow to kill. Grank dual black blos might be a pain as it keeps running here and there. Be sure to have high grade earplug for safety reasons.

whomizz, any weaps can kill hermitaur. If u r using hammer, just 3-pound or superpound and it will be immobilize very often.
For slash, just slash its legs to immobilize it and gain free hits at it.

Forbidden, is it true that for hits that bounces off - raw damage dealt is only 50% where as elemental damage is 100%?

Nope, damage done is still 100%, Raw & Element.

Bouncing only affects your combo & sharpness.

But I heard people mention that if your weapon is at yellow sharpness, bouncing does reduce the Raw damage drastically, but element damage dealt is still 100%. Any sharpness above yellow still deals 100% Raw & Element if the weapon bounces off.

Allows you to get another additional carve from anything that can be carved.

But after i carve from dead monster its also will disappear n doesn't allow me to carve again =/

Carving celebrity skill is meant more for boss monsters. For eg, u can only carve a los/ian tail once only correct? With that skill, u can carve twice. Same goes when u kill it, 1 more extra carve from the body.

This also applies to non-boss monsters, but they can disappear if the 2nd carve is not initiated in a timely manner.

You'd still be able to carve for the second time for minions like Blango, Conga, Remobra, Cephalos etc. Carcasses that doesn't disappear as soon as you've carved it for the first time.

Minions for example like the Preys, are impossible to carve for the second time. Unless you have speed gathering lol. Although I've never tried speed gathering on a prey before lol.

There is currently no announcement of a MHP2ndG English version. Possibly never.

There is a group of people working on a English patch though but there is no confirmation on when will they release it.

Don't you mean capture celebrity lol? Anyway,

Capture celebrity = Increased the chances of getting more rewards via capturing monsters.
Luck Booster = Increased the chances of getting more rewards. (Doesn't matter if you kill or capture)

Maybe your Luck Booster got activated that time?

Stun or Pitfall traps and make sure the monster is weaken first before you start the capturing process. If the monster is not weaken, you won't be able to capture it even if you threw 10000000000 tranq bombs at it.

If the monster is already weaken, you'll only need to throw 2 tranq bombs to capture it.

Uhh.............Quest Cleared lol. If you're doing a single monster quest of course, if you're doing those dual monster quest, it will just go to sleep as if you've already killed it but in this case, you've already capture it and you can go after the second one.
