Very confusing statements from ppl

Sky activ high compression. Need 97.

Many pump ron 95 say no difference esp now euro4.

But also some says min 97 some even go ron 100 otherwise sluggish and later engine cepat rosak (lol)

Mazda skyactiv owners experiment before?

Refer to car manual. I am driving new Mazda 3. It says minimum RON95.

Ron 95 would suffice. But 97 is better for long term engine health

they built the engine to be able to run on 95, like larger valve to take into account of the carbon build up.

is there really a practical difference between RON95 and RON97?
both seem practically the same to me.

a lot of people keep saying "RON97 better for engine health" but why? in what way is it better? that 2% higher octane level make any actual difference?

your engine will tweak/adapt the timing according to your fuel ..as long as your user manual stated can support RON95

Euro 4 is just cleaner fuel ..but in term of combustion timing ..they are same

my 2 cents will be ..dont keep switching or MIX in between 95 and 97

engine take time to train and used to that fuel

frequent switching might cause minor knock if engine was not trained

Mazda CX5 in Australia can take RON91 without any issue then why afraid to fill RON95?

higher RON will have higher resistance to burn

if you are having higher compression ratio engine + high resistance fuel = less power waste = higher performance

as the petrol take its time to get mix with air and fully compressed before burn

lower RON will have pre-ignition aka knock ..which meant the fuel burn before it fully compressed.

if your engine is low compression ratio (especially turbo-ed) .. then 95 and 97 gain will not be a lot
