Haltech is the choice. Last time microtech is cheaper. From last time info about 10 year already, got quite a lot of tuners learn and tune with haltech. Support also good since it's near and from Australia.

Top of the line choice is definitely motec.

You're too far away, my friend here does Datatec. I've one piggyback in my car. Did some tuning and managed to get 120 horses out of it. Stock mapping is 111.

My piggyback comes with 3 maps, 0 is always stock, 1 & 2 up to u.
Cost me like 2k+ though, but I get continuous support from these guys cos my car is the first car that they install Datatec in this region. Took them 2 ECUs and 1 week to actually get it to work. (the first 2 shorted, dunno why)

like computer, upgrade hardware, must install latest driver.

Upgrade intake and exhaust can net some peak gains, you still need a proper tune to ensure gains are through out the rev range

The cheapest upgrade that yield real results==proper sticky tyre

Some reading material. That time these are probably the best bang for buck models. Expensive, yes. But its much cheaper that top of the line MOTEC. Most importantly that time got lots of knowledgeable tuners for Haltech. Today not sure still are.
