Michelin XM2+

Probably most expensive than other brands, but also the best and durable. For 15 inch size, the prices difference between different brands not that huge anyways

GY assurance triplemax 2 is also good but midrange category performance. This tire also does not last long.

For similar price, better get UHP or high performance tire, which I have listed.

The best bang for buck in the list would be Maxxis Victra I-Pro. Roughly around rm150 per piece in KV area. If you have tighter budget you can go for Viking ProTech PT6. Cheaper.

Toyo TR1 you can find for rm170-190 per piece.

No comment on es32 coz never used it & also never knew anybody who used it before.

There's a seller on Mudah selling GY ATM2 for RM135 per piece for this size. Although there are concerns regarding its mileage and wear, I think that price is really hard to beat.

There's also es32 for RM140. Seems to have pretty decent reviews on tyrereview and tyrereview.au

Similar pricing as Viking PT6. I would pick this over GY ATM2 & es32 anyday. Since the pricing & mileage are similar, might as well get a grippier & better performance tire.

But hey, our driving styles & needs could be different.

Yeap, up to people's preferences and priorities.

I'd just fit a set of PS3 if it wasn't a backup car.

How's the PT6 though? Can't seem to find a lot of sample sizes in terms of review.

I have the same thoughts.

Not willing to spend much on backup car.

PT6, although not as good as PS3, gives sharp steering response & commendable handling.

At least could be worth it for price range of rm150 & below per piece.

It seems that this model only for SEA. Couldn't find this model in uk or eu websites.

Maxxis Victra I-Pro gives similar performance as PS3, however albeit at a much lower mileage. But hey, with rm150 per piece. It is tempting.

Victra I-Pro can be as low as rm135-140 so that's the best value for money I think.

Next after that I'd recommend Potenza Re004, should be around rm175-185 only.

That's all I'd recommend for under rm200 cuz next up is PS3 already at rm210-230. The rest under rm200 are just meh.

Hi, I've been running two sets of PS3 for 185/55/15 mirage.
Kinda becoming a backup car these days. Would it be a very noticeable diff in terms of wet for PS3 vs RE004?

How's the wet grip if compared to PS3/old time PP2?

I haven't try but based on what I heard, it's much improved over re003, whether until as good as PS3 not quite sure. My guess is Ps3 might still be better in aquaplaning resistance but otherwise re004 should be better.

Anyway re004 doesn't have your size if check in the BS MY website.

I couldn't find RE004 for the price you've mentioned. Roughly price similar to PS3.

If it is as cheap as you said. Wanna give that a try in the next set of tires

The diff is almost negligible. I would say it’s on par with PS3. Been running with PS3,re003 and re004.
