My Hotlink RED and my statement also have such clause. But when I fully deplete my basic internet, internet stops and have not been charged PAYU for internet yet.

Side question, wouldn't it be more economical to just buy 2x 20gb/365days instead?
RM5 more for 5GB more

That date is for passive, so will just be in grace period first. Once it is in grace period there will be a new date with the term "terminates xx September 2023"

The problem would be the speed is capped though.

Yes, but there is a grace period where inactive but still keeping the number. Different providers/plans give different grace period (30/50/60 days for example)
If you are using the number actively, you shouldn't run into this problem.
If you are using it as not primary, maybe set up reminders or auto reload on ewallets like boost.

I know this isn't your question but do take note Hotlink current offerings has a grace period of 30 days

Under HotlinkMU offers there is this free credit when top up with bank/ewallet/card.

I've always top up within the hotlink app to get this free credit. Curious if this free credit will be given if I top up using ewallet outside hotlink app? (eg select the option in hotlink app to select this offer, then purchasing direct top up from boost/shopee app)
