1. Budget: around rm4k
2. Usage: for Architectural Uni Student
3. Size: 14 or 15"
4. Must have the following:
- Ryzen 7000 or 8000 series (due to battery life & decent iGPU)
- Removable DIMMs
- 2x SSD Slots
- Ideally, not OLED screen

so far I found Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 6. Any other options?

Hi, I would like purchase a lightweight laptop (under 1.3kg if possible). I would bring it around with me. Main purpose would be for media consumption and video/photo editing. No gaming etc. Budget is 3.5-4K.

Requirements:
- Any brands will do
- Lightweight (under 1.3kg)
- Sufficient RAM (16GB at least)
- At least 256GB space [512GB if possible]
- Additional slot for m.2 SSD or 2.5 SDD would be nice as well.
- Good color accuracy
- Good cooling
- Good battery life
- Prefer 13-14” screen
Thank you.

Not many small laptops can offer additional ssd slots.

Have a look at Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G7 AMD (customized with discount), it has 2 removable RAM slots, 2 removable 2280 SSD slots, an option for 100% sRGB screen, all metal build.

Alternatively there are some Thinkpads but hard to find one with a good screen. Smaller battery capacity than Thinkbook.

That is the way. I got this model too. Good to have the option to upgrade the screen & battery. Cheap and nice.

Your one is customize model? I took the standard package because cheaper even I try to customize the exact same spec.

Yes coz i want to max out the screen to 100% sRGB, 60wh battery, WiFi 6E and metal body. With onsite support, came out to be around m3.4k. When I bought it tbis month, they dont allow vouchers to be stacked.

Added extra RAM & SSD myself (cheaper this way).

RM3.4K meant you only took 1 year onsite support, window 11 home etc right? Customise far expensive than the one I choose if I want to choose 100% sRGB which close to RM4k.  biggrin.gif

yes2. i skimped on SSD & only 16GB RAM, which both I added extras on my own. the 16" version is cheaper but i feel it is too big. Nowadays nobody wants to make 15" laptop lol. There is also china-imported model with 8845HS & 2.5K or 3K screen!
