actually rear brake is quite useless for normal passenger car... once depress the brake and all the force will go toward to front... but for truck or big vehicle is different, i think their settings will more on rear wheels...
yesterday i saw a real time accident at federal highway right in front PJ hilton hotel around 4pm, towards to sunway... the accident just ahead me 3-5 cars... i saw big smoke occurred in front of me suddenly, for sure the car locked 4 wheels which caused big smoke, i can smell strong rubber although closed window... it pwned a BMW old series but not dent, only scratches and paint peel off... but the car is wira and it KO-ed, because front bonnet kemek kau kau, for sure the intenal engine bay effected also...
i think the wira upgraded its brake system... otherwise stock car wont easily to lock wheels easily... some people may misunderstood, thought better brake system will give better response, but they forgot the weight of car chassis, once installed performance brake system on lighter car weight, sure lock easily and slide...

So what is the effective way for applying emergency brake, using the right technique or upgrade the brake system from rubber to disc brake. Anyone?

Anyone? for mechanical, ABS will work for e-brake without lock the wheels not matter how hard to depress the brake pedal for skill, once the wheels locked (sliding) when e-brake, release the brake pedal to gain the grip again (wheel turning again) and depress again to get the brake force...

RM72 for 300km? SO expensive or I calculated wrongly?
1 liter = RM1.92 12.5 liter = RM24 / 100km 37.5 liter = RM72 / 300km?

revving towards 10,000 rpm

QUOTE(clsiluf @ Sep 21 2007, 10:37 AM) haha, yes ... disc brake looks much nicer, in fact if wanna improve braking power alone, good brake hose and good brake pad is more then enough ... brake hose gives very minimal effect. want more braking power change to bigger brake pump

As i post before, please kindly climb back to the previous post before your post. My Persona so far can reach at least 420KM for a full tank of RM70. Now the FC analysis still showing 10.1 L/100KM, i think thats not so accurate. Tmr i am going to a high way drive, may update the FC sooner.

ABS is not to lock the brake. ABS function is to release brake few time when u fully press brake. ABS is kind of like press brake few time. is more effective if u press brake few time to stop the car. but normally ppl thought that press the brake hard will stop the but it wont.

So is there any point upgrading to rear disc brake from drum if you don't have ABS? Is ABS for front brakes only for all brakes?
