Meguiars Clay
What's this?Need to use it on wet condition or dry?
*
welcome to car detailing section. smile.gif

Use you hand to feel the car bodyworks paint surface, it should be smooth..if you feel rough...then u need clay
Clay is to remove bird dropping, oxidation, acid rain and etc.
However, from my experience, clay does not remove scratches...you need polish.

The correct step for a perfect paint finish is Clay, Polish, then Wax. However, i usually skip polish unless necessary, it depends on the paint surface whether need to be polish or not.

now i feel why G2 owner complaint low rpm torque...surch a weird torque characteristic for Campro.
Trafficlight sprint test, once red light turn Green, go baby go...step the gas pedal MAX...but the result is the NEW HONDA CRV(less than 2months old) catching up me, run at side by side till 90km/h...after 100km/h, i let go the gas pedal and slow down liao sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Highway run, met this year2001-02 S80..Swedish marquee S80... from 80..90..110..120...130, 140..145,146,147,148kmh .. sweat.gif sweat.gif Not sure whether it is S80 T6 version, i already press the gas pedal very hard, 4th gear in D mode kickdown to 3rd, still can't get close to the S80 Tailgate

i didin't notice got 1 City VTEC follow me closely from behind because i m too busy to catch the front Volvo S80... tongue.gif tongue.gif

I think i got problem driving auto, i miss the old days doing sprint test 0-100kmh on manual tranny

im out of topic now to talk more about this car..
im starting getting lamer and lamer..
but cant seem to get it out of my mind.. kept thinking about the car.. its not like you buy a brand new car every year!
but when driving, do you guys notice the attention? its worse when the window is not tinted. i got mine tinted on the 2nd day. seems like everyone is looking at the car, then the driver. some even pretend not looking.. hahaha..
its nearly a month now, and still have that feeling of being stared at. as the persona im driving is bright and shining white colour, it is hard not to be noticed.
btw, somebody mention he ordered solid white but late delivery? thats because my salesgirl took your car..sorry..
*
yawn.gif shocking.gif shakehead.gif yawn.gif ohmy.gif shocking.gif shakehead.gif hmm.gif flex.gif

I order solid white and Wait for 50Days ler but still yet to receive. End up getting the Irridescent white lor..

yeap, the problem is the Tyre!! doh.gif
Tyre price in penang is abit expensive..i check the pricelist in Lyn and AutoW0rld(most tyre shop in Southern region)...i ask for Bridgestone Potenza RE001 195/55/15...Tomyam land made rm3xx per piece doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif Adrenalin rush...go go go..

i am clocking average 2.5k km per month, hope the tyre "botak" faster, then i got Excuse to change tyre..

Some ppl hunger for Power..horsepower upgrade, some go for better stability upgrade(Brakes+suspension+grip), some go for I.C.E(In Car Entertainment)...some go for Looks only, engine everything still stock standard(bodykits)...some would like to keep the engine and parts stock standard until the parts worn out, need replacement.

i think i m more into car detailing, keep the exterior and interior looks as new as possible, glossy, wet and silky smooth paint surface. And minor modification to enhance traction and traveling stability...when it comes to get rid of you car years later, it fetch better better resale value too tongue.gif tongue.gif

a) Did anyone notice the Exhaust Tailpipe..it is cheapo quality, raining and car wash, it get Rusty!! Sooner or later, i think the steel will crack leh...

b) After car wash, either the front disc caliper or rear drum are sticking together if you do not dry out the Brakes!! hence...when i try to move the car, it cannot move, step on the pedal Hard..loud noise "KOOONGG"..
It happen to my old car ler..
Lesson learn, dry you car brakes after car wash.

c) Engine kickdown at slope, very much like Gen2..rpm sudden jump to 3k rpm.

Car was sent to service centre for warranty to be fixed sad.gif. My gf cancelled to buy this car due to problems of this. An engineer from Proton also confirmed the 1st engine of this Campro will have problems after 30k they are planning to change to a new one. Just wait and see what happened.

If it is Not the aircond water..then the water must be from the Firewall..if this case..die lor..

Now i wash my car at least 1time per week..see any water leaking inside.

The GPS will only be available earliest next year. They will refund rm1k+ if you exclude either the Captor or the GPS.

My persona seems to be having rev prob. While I accelerate my car steadily (not floor it deep down but nice and easy withing 2.5k rpm), when about to reach 80kmph it will suddenly jump to around 3.2k rpm. It won't come down even after I lift my foot off but instead back to the usual 2.5k rpm after I floor it harder. Is this how a campro works?
*
It happens at downhill slope..same as Gen2, i think it is INTelligent downshift to provde engine braking during downhill.. brows.gif brows.gif

Nice and sexy looking, but the size abit small huh. smile.gif but this SONA talk here.. smile.gif

btw, the law of physics, longer wheelbase car have better stability and comfort. Small car with short wheelbase tend to be nervous in handling and turn...

for driving pleasure, if i can afford, prefer go for a bigger and longer ride..eg: S-Class..CLS Amg..7 series..my dream ride tongue.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

NVH. Noise, harshness and vibration..

The latest generation of Camry has very good noise insulation, haven't tried at high speed, but below 130km/h..It is on par with german, eg: 3series.

Our Persona..hmm, engine run at idle, still noisy...as the rpm revv higher, roaring noise is loud oh..but priced at rm4x-5xk.It is still a good buy, AN OFFER u CAN'T rEfuse. tongue.gif
