I like TD too, zero commission, better user interface and no data fee but too bad now their support is very very slow.

Tried registering, the scan of I/C can't seem to detect or work. Frustrating.

The FX spread seems very high. For long-term hold not a bad option but not advisable for traders.

Try use with flash when scanning as the built in scanner is flawed

Of course using local bank rates CIMB with 2.5% commission on top spot rate

So far only SA has the best spot rate -0.1%

Got it registered bank in RM. Need to convert to USD before trading.
Took a few days before registration done. The in app chat was quite helpful and follow with any issue and enquires, with replies within one day.

TD Ameritrade sg. One of the few brokerage which accept Malaysian as customer and have zero commission on stocks.

Downside is usd25/withdrawal. Unless you have dbs sg, you can only use wire transfer which means pay extra 2-3% (markup exchange rate by banks).

Any yes TD is listed as illegal by Malaysian govt.
