hate being exploited and low balled but can't deny the fact that nowadays gen Z will twist the situation so that they are being viewed as victim

strawberry generation is true. self entitled and all about ME ME ME ME ME. that's why the only thing gen Z seems to rely heavily is social media because its best to display self entitlement (or maybe because they are so self entitled because of social media influences, vice versa)

Owai want lowball kena shoot.

Give range, ppl put within range. Want boomer pep talk kena zoomer shot. U think zoomer are like mellinial easy to be troll by boomer?

Last time i ask some k, they said many boomer k always make up story rant bout the interview. Few years ago, I ask 1 irl person, this k “boomer” offer rm1800 kena reject but made up fake story offer 3800. He meet the boomer just hear him pep talk bs.

I dont believe much these stpries after i met few and ask before.

Nah dont think this kid will even attempt Grab. What was he doing the past 11 months? Staying at home? If so whats the odds he got the work ethic for blue collar work?

For me, during my first interview i didnt even mention salary. In the interview i straight said the company current problem and how i can help them solve the problem, even went ahead and create a proposal for the company. My current boss like it so much during second interview even call ceo listen to my proposal. In the end i got the salary i wanted and will raise after 3 month if my performance is good. IMO, candidate during interview should propose how they can help the company solve their problem, not wait interviewer ask u question. Becuz in the end, your job should be the one who help the company solve problem, not create problem for the company.

How u find out the company problem? If u research online, i doubt the company will speak it out loud and put everything online…

Blue collar or white collar?

Also, 11 months break is acceptable if reason make sense (career break, personal life, take care of sick family members). Sometimes people just need to take time off to focus on things in their life other than work.

Nothing wrong if it the reason.

However, look through the conversation, it seems the reason of unemployment was more to choosy and salary demanding.

My personal opinion this day and age and at 25 with minimal work experience don't think it's a good idea to rest on your laurels, unless it's to take care of family. Past few years I'm seeing more and more kids listing current or past gigs as cashiers, call centre execs, barristas etc in their resumes. They are working while searching for permanent jobs. Money helps and these type of jobs instil a good work ethic

I was lucky I didn't wait long 20 years ago to get my first job. But around month two I did contemplate going back to manning TGV counters if no offers came in. 11 month break at 25? That's a luxury most ppl don't have and ideally you shouldn't take
