surely the GTS fatality will be much hotter compare wif a normal or an OC version GTS as the core clock 650Mhz + stock cooler??!!even an 580mhz can shoot to 80~85C when load...
dunno how high the temp will shoot when fully loaded...hope anyone owns it can bear the heat alone xD |

QUOTE(Zakumo @ Sep 21 2007, 03:33 AM) seem nvidia nt stupit like that, they might having a powerful stock cooler or anythings else can let the temperature down. its not nvidia..it shud be xfx ler...stupid o not..u shud have a look on the retail product....maybe to put other third party cooler shud be nice...like thermalright vga cooler...but the down side is...sli setup shud proof to be difficult as the cooler alone damn big... so far only few third party cooler that available for 8800 series...eventhough the item has been retailed long enough...even evga superclocked GTS with its custom cooler didnt do much of the job to cool the card...now u shud say whose stupid enough |

for sure those silent vga wont help much when its bout the temp...last time used 7600GS silent pipe...idle at 50+C
better change to third party cooler....and most intriguing..the zalman VF1000...sure look like 7900GTX cooler |

i believe sticking with 8800GTS will not hurt much as the card still perfoming very well with latest games.well...at least it can last till 9 series coming
what fabrication size this GT die were made off??the same ol' 80nm @ 65nm @ others??? This post has been edited by arc_archive: Oct 26 2007, 01:23 AM |

but when looking at the card HSF, it seems the single slot cooling would benefit much when SLi'ed...a lot of space availaible even SLi'ing.
ya..even the synthetic benchie does show a good result...but i still doubt the gc would do good in lot of real game xperience..do not trust the synthetic benchie score 100% lol juz selling off my GTS as of awaiting the incoming 9 series...never ever noticed bout the GT...and not planning to grab one though.targeting a new nvidia @ ati high end gc to upgrade. |

QUOTE(ianho @ Oct 27 2007, 10:10 PM) Looks like every1's rig is crying. I waiting to c how my rig cries at 2560x1600 resolution n max gfx settings. true2...me too eager to see how much the mighty GTX SLi'ed could handle crysis at that resolution but that only count if teh demo allowed the game played at that mega resolution la.... |
