i intend to jailbreak it soon and just want to know if it is "safe" to do so? what i mean is that if i follow the instructions to the letter, is there any chance it wouldn't work or worse, render my Touch completely unrecoverable?

quite unfair to the buyers here in Malaysia. i was in Singapore last week and the Touch was definitely on promotion. there was no discount on the price but there were freebies. i got mine with a free set of Sennheiser headphones.

QUOTE(kimganner @ Dec 9 2007, 11:23 PM) that's cos last week there was a big IT Fair in town...this week, from what i saw at Sim Lim, there was a shop selling 8GB iPod touch @ SG$488 + 1 free travel charger (didn't take note of the 16GB price). looks like you got the same protector as me. so i am extra careful with my Touch so as not to scratch the expose parts. but seems like screen protector (clear transparent sticker type) for iPod touch still rare. esp full body type. i managed to get 1 for SG$18 & the shop helped to apply it....only for me to realise that the sticker for the back doesn't fully cover the area. |

QUOTE(kimganner @ Dec 10 2007, 10:11 AM) is yours for the back like doesn't really cover even on the flat surface (i.e. not the sides) too? mine seems to be a lint magnet for the area on the flat reflective back that wasn't covered. afraid that in time it'll end up leaving an outline mark on the reflective side. i think it is the same. i don't have much lint on the back but only sometimes on the front at one of the corners.... i was hoping to be able to find one that's just nice for at least the flat surface. the sides i know can't be helped lah. |

it is not updated that often.
to be honest, it is unlikely that there will be an official update that will add all those wonderful apps you can get with jailbreaking. but of course, the choice is yours whether to do it or not. |

my friends all use different ones. some use Creative (in ear type), some Sennheiser, some Sony. i think it may be a personal choice.
i have been using the stock headphones and while it is not the best I agree, it works for me. |
