you can't delete directly from the ipod. need to connect to itunes or its equivalent to manage your content.

you can add a wallpaper by syncing your own photo folder to the ipod via iTunes. then in your settings, just choose your wallpaper from there.

Go to Settings>General>About, then scroll down to 2nd last item called Wi-Fi Address. Your MAC address should be shown there.

and what do you get...Mail, Weather, Stocks, Notes and Maps....

ipod touch is an IPOD, not a mobile phone device.

i think it is only mp4 format.

i was on 1.1.2 from last november until yesterday when i finally switched to 1.1.3.

Things I like about 1.1.3 (with app pack upgrade):
1) Lyrics function is back
2) Wriggling apps and the ability to move them to another page to better organize your 'launcher home page'
3) Creating shortcuts from Safari to websites
4) The map function (with hybrid mode) is cool and not available in the previous version. But this requires you to either purchase the USD20 app pack or jailbreak your 1.1.3 ipod touch to install.

Things I don't like about 1.1.3:
1) I hate the iphone dock. The transparent dock in 1.1.2/1.1.1 is nicer.
2) Battery life seems to drain faster in 1.1.3
3) Can't use Summerboard and Customize if you jailbreak (but it's only a matter of time before it is available for 1.1.3)

you are correct. you need the upgrade pack as well. my thoughts about 1.1.3 includes the app pack.

PM tishaban. He is based in the US and has a Maybank account. He can help buy the gift certificates (all you need is the CODE to redeem and add value to your account) and you just transfer money to his MBB account. I've bought twice from him and very reliable. Some more, he does it at the current exchange rate. USD10 = roughly current exchange rate (at that time RM33.80)

but please remove all traces of jailbreak before submitting for warranty claim. jailbreaking voids the warranty.

is your touch jailbroken? are you using wallpaper via Customize or Summerboard app?

Unfortunately, Setting>General>Wallpaper is only 1 step. You will then need either Customize or Summerboard. These 2 apps have to be installed via Installer on a jailbroken Touch. I have Summerboard installed and then after choosing a wallpaper via Settings like you have done, I deactivate the theme wallpaper in Summerboard and my chosen wallpaper will be the background on Springboard.

hmmm....is your summerboard running on 1.1.3 or 1.1.2?

that's the same as mine. hmm, i just tested it again and it works on my Touch. have you tried restarting Springboard in SMB Prefs?

sorry for asking basic questions. i am just curious what seems to be preventing your wallpaper from showing...

if you have a 1.1.3 ipod Touch, then it should already have the 5 app pack installed.

as for the games and themes, you need to jailbreak. you can find instructions at the first post of the "Unleash the potential" sticky thread in this forum or google.

that's what i am curious about too...it should ship with the 5 apps installed.

you can jailbreak and then add the 5 apps back. but given the instability and other issues i've seen vs different jailbreak methods available for 1.1.3, i would suggest you hold off on jailbreaking if you can.

personally, i don't think it is stable yet. some methods have issues with new installer, some don't (i had and had no choice but to restore to 1.1.1 and rejailbreak). some works with Customize and Summerboard, some don't.

i went from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 using ipod Elite Team's method and my contents stayed intact and no issues with playing purchased music or videos. but again, some people who jailbroke 1.1.3 could not play their content or lost it all.
