i bought Alienware desktop on 22 April.
i understand due to pandamic and graphic card shortage will have deliver delay.

before make payment i understand will need to wait for 2~6 weeks,
and from Dell webpage do show estimate deliver date on 2 June.

but when estimate deliver date reached, i tried to called Dell for the status and CS told will update me.
then at night Dell sent an email that my order delay another 3 months!
If Dell do not have stock, why Dell still selling it and giving fake hope.....

As for Hewlett Packard, they show out of stock if no stock/part.

not much different than a scam for me 🙄

anyway can make serious complain to Dell? seem like their CS cant do anthing (or dont care) on it....

It it is not urgent... just cancel the order and buy from other places

wow i nearly bought it but need to wait 3 month so i give up now 6 month dah

3 months delay is absurd. This sector is still operating I believe.

no but i guessed since a lot of miners just buy it for the graphic card and sell the rest as parts.

Bought Lenovo, the tower pc took 2 month and one accessories took 1 month to reach. Delay of the tower pc is due to graphic card as well.

I think is consider back order kind of system. Unless the item is discontinue then only show out of stock.

Someone did mention about their casing shortage. But the XPS ones are ok. Not that long waiting period.

Sure oos leh. So many people order. Chip shortage too. No choice either wait or just cancel.

Just curious, possible for TS to omit the graphic card on the order to speed up the delivery? While sourcing the card else where?

i normally direct deal with customer service officer .. ya he said three month .. which graphic card you getting?
