i wanted to trade in my w850i with this samsung model..

is it worth it?

i like tis phone so much coz its damn nice cunnn but 1 thing is slack. its mp3 ringtones quite low volume.

I just getting this phone as my secondary hand phone after selling of my Nokia N73 last two days. (I still able to sell at price RM450! Wow so happy about it,)

Below is my experience of Samsung U700:
- Sleek, slim and elegant design. (Mine is pearl Black)
- Great 3.2 mega pixel camera. (Off course cannot compared with my main phone - Samsung Pixon, haha)
- The touch button is responsive but I rather prefer if got option replace the right button key from accessing web to others.
- Difficulties install java games from PC (I try the trick here but failure) the only way I can get the games is via wap or buy it directly from Maxis or Digi. (this was same as my main phone - Samsung Pixon as well, I believe all Samsung phone prohibited installation of Java games from PC by default).
- I have no problem about the ringtones, for me it was loud enough and most importantly is clear and no distortion.
- Fast and responsive everywhere.
- I have a problem on the 3G/HSDPA signal using my current Maxis card (but no problem at Samsung Pixon, ex-Nokia N73 or my sis SE W595), I will get Limited service on it, at 1st I though is the phone faulty, so I went to the shop for replacement, but end up same. The shop try put others Maxis sim card and all no problem activating on 3G or HSDPA. Weird.... I am going to replace my Maxis sim card tomorrow cause I need authorize letter because this Maxis sim card is belongs to company. I am the owner of Digi and I still prefer Digi. he he. (Hope soon Digi will came with 3G services).
- Overall I well recommended this phone if you like sleek design and nearly 2 years of production is not an issue of it and wish to get below RM1k for a decent 3.2Mega pixel auto focus camera phone. Samsung U700 is definately suite. As a secondary hand phone, I am proud and happy having it.

Im will be selling off my 4 month old U700 (i have skinned the HP since 1st day, so purely scratchless) soon. Still under warranty, genuine set.
I am advertising here as, if you know anyone looking for U700, let me know (lazy to open a tread now). Offer me a price (PM me).
I will be changing phone soon.

its quite good compared to other 3.2 mp phones. U shud test it out haha

It is a decent 3.2Mega Pixel camera phone.

where to check the serial no and warranty card no?

i want to register on samsung website.

my sis' u700 touch sensitive screen is kaputt (rosak).
they're lit & blinking when touched but nothing happened.

is there any place in KL/PJ i can send this for service?

i went to the shop, he said samsung hq somewhere in jln 219 (?), PJ, near the naza showroom?

emm..cannot use gps bro.Did anybody notice that U700 can customize ringtone for certain no?I did that but it can only use midi but mp3 can assign for general msg tone.Weird kan?

phone gives me problem. screen always dies. I sent for repair twice in 1.5 years. The paint at the side there come out so easily. I sent back to samsung centre for them to put the paint thing back, but it still peels off.

Other than that, everything is okay. camera clear and the buttons are easy to type for sms.

hmmm... have you guy face this problem before that an MP3 song title is greyed out in the playlist? and i couldn't delete those grey title either. it will say "This file does not exist".

seemed like it happened when i delete the song through the phone or when moving it from memory card to phone vice versa.

i googled for help and some suggested transferring the song back to the phone using the same name. i did that but the grey titles still stuck there.

HELP!

sigh, my samsung is giving me problems again, my upper slider buttons sometimes doesnt respond. sent to fmg for service and they quoted me rm340 for repairs. need to change the upper slider components and flexi cable.

maintaining samsung is like maintaining a proton car, it looks good at first then it gives you hell lotsa problem later on. anyone knows where i can get this phone fixed at a cheaper price?
