so here's my little review on it! Hope u guys enjoy seeing the pictures... !




This is as shiny as how a U700 gets... soo reflective! the picture of the phone itself was blurred because i wanted to just emphasize more on how reflective its glass mirror surface was

I HAVE A WINDOWS VISTA..AND MY SAMSUNG CD CANNOT WORK IN IT BECAUSE IT IS FOR WINDOWS XP ONLY...HWOWHWOWHOWHOW~!!?!?

If users are indeed facing this kind of problem...they can refer to this guide provided by our dear StratOS which he took it from Howard forums

what you need to do is this:

1) insert the cd into your drive

2) browse the cd and find the installer exe file for samsung pc studio 3

3) once you have located the file right click it and select 'properties'

4) selct the 'compatibility' tab at the top of the dialogue box

5) then tix the 'run this program in compatibility mode for' and ensure 'windows xp service pack 2' is the chosen systems

6) click ok and the double click the exe file, it will install correctly and function as normal


some of the codes used for E900 work with U700 here below you can find a small list...

OKAYH NOW GUYS ! SECRET TECHNIQUE TO INCREASE YOUR PHONE'S VOLUME SYSTEM! AS IN PLAYING SUPER LOUD MP3 VOLUMES !

Follow the steps below to increase your U700 speaker. I will not be liable for any damages to your phone and changing the default settings may void your warranty.

My U700 have the latest software version, U700DZHB1 (Feb. 2008), for other versions I have no idea whether it works. Update it at the nearest samsung service centre.

1) Type *#0002*28346#
2) It will bring up a menu:
[1] Load Params
[2] Dump Params
[3] Call Config

3) Press Back, and it will bring up another longer menu
4) Key in 3 to bring up SPK Config Menu
5) Then key in 4 to bring up AV-QTune(MP3) menu
6) Key in 1 to bring up SPK MP3 Vol. menu
7) Key in 6 to change the max. volume
8) Input 40 and press OK, it will change to 4.0db default max. volume is -3db. I wouldn't recommend higher than 6.0db because the sound will distort, anything lower will be fine.
9) Once done, press cancel to close the service menu and try to play a mp3 with max. volume. This volume apply for your MP3 Ringtones and Message tones.

Note: If you restart your phone, your settings will be changed to default.

as u can see by now..this phone has huge Buttons... and the buttons is very very easy to type indeed~! very practical + spacious

RM1450 + the 1GB card..cheapest in my area

Alright! the construction part done..now i'll come to the part where people will have doubts on the phone.... the Wheel Scroller Part!

I'll show how sensitive the wheel is based from my pictures below, notice my thumb position and the menu icon position

Alright...now in order for an Icon to move from one to another, ur thumb must at least move that much of a distance..not that bad huh? I would rate it as a quite good sensitivity

Actually RM1499...u can buy much better phones example : K810i , N73ME....

N73 is a total nono... i got about 8/10 ppl I know using that...oh my goodness the similarity...

Hmm... My old phone was a Motorola the NON synergy version ( meaning the super old 1 )

and it took me no problems from my old motorola to this samsung ( i mean the getting used to part )

its up to u also lar..hehe...must go test test. No themes though

WHOAH.. not only that man.... LG shine's navigation buttons are far worst...

1) wht i mean is the scrollers of both phones. Lg shine's scroller is lousy big time... will suffer u know~ Samsung's scroller is just superb... good sensitivity!
2) U700 thinner than Lg shine by 2MM...lol...
3) U700 two times lighter than Lg shine...

U mean the buttons from 1-9 ? the buttons from 1-9 is normal keypad! Not touch sensitive ler..very tactile! One of the best phones i ever used for SMS'ing....

The buttons around the glass-mirror finish yang use touch sensitive keys.... hard to get used to? Hell NO! Only took me a couple of hours to adjust to it. Totally fine with me! I press 10 times fast fast, than it will react 10 times too. Not 1 less, not 1 more. LG's touch sensitive I mmg test use before lar..that 1 I realy

The only thing u nid to get used to with the touch sensitive of this phone is the TERKENA factor. sometimes u not careful, u will accidentally press the keys..so nid like..keep distance of ur hands from the keypad. But u can use the autolock function. The phone will autolock itself after a couple of seconds ( depending how long u want to set it )

I took U700 because of the style..not becuz of the functionality whatsoever the videos...i dont even use it untill now..day 1 bought it to test only ...lol!

TV out? where do u find that in U600? becuz..i canot find mine haha... as what I know, memang dont have... or is it there is some super secret menu i have not open yet

pros and cons indeed... but for me, I totally not a Radio dude...so the phone no radio I also ok 1 hehe... TV-out? I doubt i'll ever use dat at all

I know that the battery will discharge itself after not being used for quite some time... but when i put the battery back..den i on the charger...

my phone goes on...den can see chargin sign or some sign lar...den my phone will Off by itself..then on back again showing the cahrging sign again... why like dat de? Is it memang like dat? this my 1st time using samsung phones

Yar.... no special shortcut key... the right side button cannot be customize lor.. phone charging? the backlight will off meaning u will see the mirror only.

Erm...sync files between ur phone and ur computer and..well..its in ur user manual list what I actually never used the PC suite before...still in my box..so lazy take out

It will go to the phone memory..u only can copy the songs from the phone memory to the memory card oh... either dat or there is a way where i havent found yet

i usually just copy all the songs from the phone to the computer..den the computer to my U700...it's faster dat way then bluetooth transfering

Battery? Battery is good! Lasts me about 3-4 days with a 2-3 hours of music listening, 10+ sms, 5+ calls and some photo shooting plus my wallpaper is the moving type with butterflies non stop flying around

My screen brightness i put lowest... becuz although lowest, still quite bright

Yeah...nid wipe indeed..lol..because the problem of this phone is it doesnt have a specific bar or something for u to push it up, so u nid to place ur finger onto the mirror surface to push this phone up. So yeah...will kena But for me, it isn't a problem so far, i even enjoy wiping my phone...after wipe...the phone will become SHINY

Eh ... sometimes if i open SMS..also receive blank SMS oh..den i close the SMS...den reopen it again only saw msg... Is it my phone cacat ka but only happen rarely lar..duno y also.

1 thing... My phone bluetooth transfer all go Memory Card oh? I duno y also.. now den i realize my bluetooth'ed transfered songs are all stored in memory card Try wack around the options more..got 1 i think.

The other party end call..ur phone auto end call also what... Except the accidentally 1 la..i kena dat before...wowh.... really panic to end call hahaha but that was last time..now biasa already, not so panic already

My battery really last long lor..but brightness is lowest lar... with brightness lowest..outside sun cannot see oh
