Sigh. That is horrible. They are completely difference species. If you are sweating at the chin area, I can imagine they are suffering! How come carefour also go into EXOTIC PETS....

SPCA? Maybe should direct give carefour management a call. I thought they just selling rabbit and hamster who is more commend pet, mana tau now go for chinchilla, sugar glider.... etc.

Shingin, if you have called carefour, let me know, I will top up what you miss to them.

half great! Another half have to wait see are those chins begin remove and place in A BETTER PLACE. Mana tau they remove, put in store room, even worst.... Heng should be able to pay another visit, as he should be staying around that area.

ya, i mean warm, not worm....LOL

basically, chinchilla wont make sound when you pick them up, however if they feel really afraid and want to run away, they have some very gentle 'hmm/sigh..' sound.

Added on May 30, 2009, 12:11 pmIt mean complaint.... I also cannot explaint this time of sound, sometime when I feed them, they get scare, few of my chin will come out this kind of sound. Some will 'shout' like 'cat' sound, dont know how to explaint....

That is their gen. usually pink white, beige gen carrier will hv those spot. Spot will only appear when it reaching adult hood.

White is expensive, that's why is a bit less available here. Can't wait to see my pink white baby soon!

Chinchilla can price from few hundreds to few thousand depend on colour and quality.

I also want! Well, shingin can give a good home too.

Sometime people give up chinchilla have many reason, however looking a good owner to adopt them also not easy.

We love chinchilla, so if we adopt sure we sapu everthing as long as it is a chinchilla. I will tight shingin n jason up when your decided to find an adoptor!

Let's share some of your thought how your feeding your chinchilla? Let's start with me.

I feed my chin once.twice a day, depend on the need of that particular chin, some of the chin will hv control pellet ration on the feeding depend on situation. Hay is unlimited, top up fresh hay each day, remove uneaten, they will loveeee to eat the fresh, great smelling hay each time you feed them. I also provided some healthy reward like apple chew stick, they will whack the stick like no tomorrow. (Last time give some Volcanic pumice stone, now no more) Chinchilla love to 'toast' the small pick of chew stick, chew toy, hay cube around the cage, they love to do that. Water, I use diamond filter water, wash the bottle each time when refill. Cage disinfection, I do it 2 months once, sun dried, cause is a big job, disaster to me. When nessesacry, boil the wooden house. Go to an extend, if seeing them pop corn alot, I will put in some organic rolled oat as 'flowing' with the emotion, make them even happier....
