Goodness, you really are poisoning us with pictures hahaha.... man, I really wanna own one but hahaha... can't commit yet to a chin.

Anyway, the shop that was selling the Chin at Petaling street is the shop called Petsmore.... kinda orange and the staff wears orange shirts. Alot of dogs on display too in little cubicles.

The cage is seriously small.... it's a hamster cage.... with only hay and some pellets inside.... the pellets looked like rabbit pellets to me.
*
hahahaha.... biggrin.gif I also begin poison by them daily by posing cute, funny face to me.... icon_idea.gif

O... I think I know which shop already, I been to that orange shop.... Sigh... this is Malaysia la... shakehead.gif

halo everyone ^^

i really lurve chinchilla ehh!~ but its too expensive for me ... the cheapest i found around here is rm550

n i heard its vr hard to take care o...

Hi sakura,

Chinchilla expensive due to many reason. First fur have difference quality, second they give birth to 1-2 babies for 120 days pregnancy period., usually 1 baby.

I can said chinchilla is very easy to take care. Provide good pellet and hay and clean water, cooling n quite enviroment, they will live well. If you can go further provide them right temp, they will thrive for you. rclxms.gif I see chinchillas which suffer from poor and worst care, those are in pet shop and naive chin owner. I created this thread hopefully can share some knowledge to all chin owner and potential chin owner to get ready of taking care of their chin who will live with them for 10-15 years. I am still learning as well. blush.gif

Yes, I give 20 hours. Mid night is set to on an off each hour. When I have more chins, I will need to put up 2 set of AC unit and on 24/7 for good air flow and cooling, each take 12 hours. smile.gif

Hi...
Yes I have babies chinchilla now, but not available for sale at this moment, all babies will be keep back. rolleyes.gif

I will suggest you since you still have plenty of time to prepare till you have 1 chin, you can read on the site I provided on the first page. Those are very good basic for you to learn about the care of chinchilla.

You also can visit GreenWood Chinchillato learn more. smile.gif

question:
how do we know that chinchilla is pregnant aa??  blush.gif
*
Well, for me is very easy, I weight my chins weekly or twice monthly. Weight gain is a very good sign of indication of pregnant chinchilla(female of cause). They gain 20-30gram weekly. Secondly is water consumtion. They will drink unusual more water. And eat more. Is very obvious when you know your chins 'life style'. They will be more grumpy and don't like to let you hold them at all.(when no pregnant, she will show not much struggle when you hold her).

Last sign, they will sleep horizontal and you see babies kicking on her tummy. blush.gif
