The chin will eat, just wait, withdraw alfalfa hay for meantime. No need to put hay in the bowl, the pellet is self is very tasteful to them already.

You know the yellow bits in kaytee pellets? She picks those and those orange/yellow thingies only. I think the green ones are kinda spoilt. They smell kinda fishy. More like dog food smell. Maybe that's why she hates them. Do you think that's possible?

Sure thing! Kaytee Forti Diet Pro for chins of course. Also - Danny has been a big help.

Ok. What you need to do now is wait, you chin sure will go eat those pellet, dont add any more when there is no empty bowl.

Ok. Another question. If the chin is having diarrhea - how often does the cage need cleaning of bedding? Once or twice a day? Poop is everywhere in hiding place, hay bowl no matter how high. No more pellets given. Only plenty of timothy hay.

Just continue to give only timothy hay till the diarrea stop. The only way to clean up the poop is wipe it immediately of the wooden house or wait till it dry up and sracth it off.
I can understand when there is diarrhea occur, sure is disaster for the owner, but fun for the chin to play with the sticky poo.

If your diarrhea is too serious, it may need to visit the vet to get the poo test, sometime chin will get girdia as well.

Guess thats the only way about it. It started since the day before but definitely less poop now that changed only to timothy hay. Hope she will get better soon and hope the diarrhea wont last more than a few days.

No problem. When the poo back to normal, introduce the pellet slowly again, and dont feed alfalfa hay for 2 weeks, then feed alfalfa hay only 2-3 time a week again.

i guys it has been long since i drop by.
been busy lately due to lots of thing happen and my new baby chin is havin diarrhea. oledi draw out pellet n only provide it lots of timothy hay. hope it'll get well soon.

the worst part is although it's havin diarrhea it still beg to let it out for play.. really cannot be soft hearted if not my whole room will sure be in a mess of poo >.< apart from that my bei bei n pi pi is doin fine. jus tat pi pi still very reluctant to let ppl touch lo.. always do her own stuff only.. very cool one..

nope o. tat one is actually for diarrhea? i thought tat one was for the previous chin.
ya i gave them lots of hay.. but then bei bei n pi pi really wasting.. lots of hay actually goes to the bottom of the cage -.-" then when omost finish they ask for more again.. haizz... but pellet they finish all without waste ehe

Where are you located? Kl? Generally quite a few per stores have them.

they are like that , sometime will have some wastage. Hope that chin can recover soon.
