AZ takes around 4 weeks to develop antibodies after first dose. Cannot let guard down during that time.

Heard normally 1 jab not much effect....only by second jab you can see the real effect
*
Nope, not true. As you can see below antibodies develop for 97% after taking a single jab of AZ, while for Sinovac you need 2 jabs.

AEFI (for most, not necessarily all)

Arm will feel pain, so choose the less dominant side
The injection itself is painless, before you know it, it's done, champion nurses - salute them
arm pain is mainly due to the vaccine doing it's job and it'll be apparent only after a while.
Those who sleep turning from one side to another - you most likely won't be able to trash around the bed so much for the first few days

AstraZeneca is a viral vector vaccine, so fever and chillness is expected as the body raises it's thermostat to a higher temperature. This normally happens 11-13 hours after the jab. Nothing to be afraid of here, simple science. Once the higher temp is set, your body begins working (the shivers) to increase its temperature. You will feel cold because you are now at a lower temperature than what your brain thinks.
wear comfortable clothing (short sleeved highly recommended due to it's practicality for the occasion), have a jacket handy as it can get rather cold certain areas.
bring one or two pens, isotonic drinks (Gatorade, 100+ etc)
know you station number (details in the mysejahtera)
keep MySejahtera open / standby as you're required to scan at several checkpoints
you'll need to switch between the scan page and the vaccination page, don't panic if you're holding up the line, malaysians generally are a tolerant lot
stay healthy, stay safe, don't cut queue

I was vaccinated yesterday and until now I feel the same. No fever, chills, etc. Just a bit sore at the arm (like getting any other injection). Hmm...does this mean there is no immune reaction and vaccine didn’t take effect?

Not necessarily, post-injection symptoms vary significantly among people who've received the vaccine, so how you feel after the shot isn't a litmus test for whether the immunization worked.

It is possible you didn't get the full dose like the guy who posted video proof . Heard he went back and got another shot.
For the next 3 months you will be asking did I get it or not

Hey everyone, reminder to check your elderly's MySejahtera.
My dad (70 years old) finally gotten his 1st dose appointment next week.
Nobody from KKM / Vaccination centre called him though, I thought they should be calling the elderly to double check and confirm the slot?

Later buta-buta missed appointment pula, or not enough time to make arrangement.

Coz I remembered they would call, but I guess the gomen forgot about this:

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 — The government will directly contact senior citizens and patients with underlying diseases from health facilities across the public and private sectors to offer them Covid-19 vaccination.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the government currently has records of patients registered in the public health care system.

“We have a database of senior citizens and people with comorbidities who are registered in the national health system,” Khairy told CodeBlue in an exclusive interview Monday.

He added that the national Covid-19 vaccination programme would also approach private hospitals and clinics to get contact details of their patients with chronic illnesses.

this is my symptom

i only feel something 6hours after the injection. Feel a very slight bit of fever but when check temp its still within normal.

then after 8hours, the fever is real and i got a headache. i took panadol then its ok. for the fever it still ongoing until the next morning which is 24hours after injection. I keep wearing the Koolfever. Then maybe 25hours after injection until today nothing happens.

total panadol taken was only 2pcs. but i took 2 because the 1st one is expired medicine
i only realized it after i notice why the medicine doesnt work.
so i took another one that isn't expired then my headache gone.

Just took mine today at IDCC, 11am appointment.

So far normal. Expecting the side effect to be the same when I had Flu A.

415pm: now feel a bit shoulder ache.. not sure if because wrong sitting posture.

i tried with the 2nd booking but failed everytime or no response after submit. then after 36 hr i got a confirmation. good grace.

i plan to drive myself there. will that be a wise move? i doubt the vaccination will cause any immediate effect such drowsiness
