QUOTE(Namelessone1973 @ May 5 2021, 12:21 PM) They must already be blacklisted by banks. A lot of them already max out their credit card and servicing multiple personal loans. Many of these are bankers themselves. They rather get into debt to maintain their lavish lifestyles, instead of toning it down. This is when their bonus takes a hit, not even talking about salary yet."Look rich/successful then you can become rich/successful" mindset at play. Heard many rumours about this few years ago. I'd imagine it will be much worse now. asuka16 and Phoenix_KL liked this post

QUOTE(friedricetheman @ May 5 2021, 04:15 PM) If it’s your only watch and you wear it daily? It would stop working after the 2nd year. You can still wear it but it won’t tell the correct time. Is this only for watches that atas? The only reason why most collectors can stretch the Service interval to 5 years sometimes is because we hardly wear the watch. Have a low end Tag and only serviced it after 11 years. Time always matched phone time. |

QUOTE(knumskul @ May 5 2021, 06:01 PM) Is this only for watches that atas? Quartz? No need to service quartz watches. Just replace battery, can already.Have a low end Tag and only serviced it after 11 years. Time always matched phone time. Edit : Rolex 3135 movements have a problem with the winding shaft rubbing against the rotor . Over time, the axle will grind against the shaft until nothing left. The Daytona managed to beat this problem by installing ball bearings to the winding rotor. Newer 3235 movements also have ball bearings installed to mitigate this issue. ETA movements (like the one inside your Tag Heuer) all have ball bearings. It’s noisy. Yes. But it extend the life of your movement. For finer movements from Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, a shorter service interval is recommended due to the ultra thin movement. Some parts are paper thin and will wear through if not serviced on time. ETA is thicker and have more robust parts. This post has been edited by friedricetheman: May 5 2021, 06:55 PM |

Don't have anything else to compare it with. What are the benefits of finer movement watches? I'm sure there'll be a trade-off for paper thin parts mentioned. |

“Our clients who run brothels tell us that they have dropped hourly prices from RM30 to RM10, yet there are no takers,” he said.
This one really desperate case already. We really need to help them out. |

QUOTE(knumskul @ May 5 2021, 07:04 PM) Automatic Aquaracer. Yea I know quartz watches don't need to be serviced. Rolex 3135 movement are silent. You can’t even feel the rotor winding. It basically feels like a quartz watch. No sound, no vibrations to show that the rotor is winding. ETA has a slight vibration when you flick your wrist. That’s from the rotor winding around.Unsure how noisy you mean, but I don't notice it. Don't have anything else to compare it with. What are the benefits of finer movement watches? I'm sure there'll be a trade-off for paper thin parts mentioned. Thinner movements = thinner watches. Also, paper thin parts = more parts can be squeezed into a movement which basically means more functions can be added into a very tiny and thin watch. Also, finer movements are better finished as they are all hand finished. A lot of finishing techniques needs to be done by hand. Expensive watches also have movements which are finished and decorated even on parts which are hidden from view. They hand finished every single component before assembling it all together. Cheaper watches, even Grand Seikos, don’t apply any decorations or finishing on parts deep inside the movement and movement plate which are normally hidden from view. |
