for your budget, an fnhon blast would be perfect. it's a 20-incher by the way, though you may either pick 406 or 451.

for long distance cycling, assuming the same number of tooth count and gearing between the two, relatively speaking a bigger wheel always better than a smaller wheel. 

but for portability smaller wheel is easier to carry around.

if you're going for a 16-incher then fnhon gust lor.

Came across one brand called mint/sunrimoon which is a brompton knockoff but uses conventional road bike external 9 speed gears and comes equipped with disk brakes.

Using one, doesnt fold as neat but unfolded alot nicer to cycle than original.

But slow. I take this fake brompton with 9 speed and chase other roadbikes at 30km/h lol

End up store room jer anyways cuz its purpose is to accompany wife on her weight loss journey through cycling (have a pair of matching bikes). After only a month she malas and i went back to my running lol.

How big is the difference between Camp Troy and and the Fnhon Gust? I plan to get 1 to commute with LRT. From my research, these bike seems to be the best option for my use case.

You're right, the Brompton-styled wheel will be pretty handy. It would be great if I can simply use the bike as a trolley in any shop or malls so I don't have to carry a huge chain lock with me all the time.

However I'm not entirely sure about the limited no. of gears on such bike, hence I was more drawn to the likes of Fnhon at the first place.

Hmm, the more I think about it, the more pening it is 

By the way, I only plan to bring my bike during off peak hours, so that shouldn't be too big of a concern to me.

In any case, I'll check out the Aceoffix, is it much better than 3x3 Pikes? My LBS is selling the Pikes for about 2.5k.

Glad to know that gearing isn't too big of an issue, if it can climb Perez then these bikes should be good enough for my purpose.

I think I can live with the extra weight since I've been lugging my cheap MTB around the station staircase and bridges  Any name brand will be a nice upgrade over my current ride.

Only useful if one has the habit of regularly checking. Some will deem it troublesome,because it takes your eyes off the road in front of you.

I know many cyclist only pedal pedal pedal and look forward without giving much thought about their back. Not a good practise but hey who am I to complain?
