err.. i dont have latest pikes, but my pikes and aceoffix is 3x3 setup

53t with 13/15/19

my aceoffix
52t with 12/14/17

as u can see, both top speed nearly the same. but my pikes setup towards more on touring (mudguard), so i reserved 19t for big hilly route.

oh ya, tested my pikes on penang round island. amazingly, its enough (i also didnt use 15t, only 13t with lightest gearhub combo) but not tested on the new highest bridge.

in addition, last time my pikes setup is 52t wih 12/17. just nice for all terrain, but i hate those big gap. thats why i mod mine to 3x3 setup. for me close ratio on top speed is better + talian hayat cog

by the way is Tern link B7 folding bike any good? what about the DAHON VYBE D7? It fits my budget. i am looking at folding bikes not below 1k and not above 2k

hmm thank you for the advice. But i keep seeing advises about gears and it seems like having more gear speed the better? I am not taking the bike for up hill or mud road or rough terrain. Just leisure riding to keep fit. I need foldable due to storage concerns. I living in a condo hence limited space. Big, professional, or non foldable types are out for me. Will I need more gears than the 7 speed that the dahon n tern are offering? 

Pardon me. I used to ride my grandma's old bicycles (no gears but with a bell and a basket infront    type) hence I am new to modern bikes with so many gears.

the trifold ones are really great, can save so much space. but i wish to ask, where can i find those 16 inch dahon/tern? so far the ones i saw at the shops are all 20 inch. also will riding one 16 inch wheels be tougher than 20 inch? i am around 78kg and 1.75m. will the 16 inch be too small for me? 

the pikes and oyama while looks very very nice + 9 speed is abit out of my budget 

ok so i have decided on a higher speed folding bike. you recommended fnhom 16 inch wheels. but i have looked around and it seems like fnhom bikes are sold part by part?
where can i get a fully built fnhom bike? i am really new to the world of bikes hence i have no idea on how to source nor choose the parts 

What is the disc rub issue?

Newbie here. Used to ride RB with my friends long long time ago, I don't own any bikes with me anymore. Nowadays usually just rent those linkbike in Penang RM3/day, it is a ok bike to ride around, nothing hard core, but these bikes are getting a lot of abuse and it seems like the vendor aren't maintaining it properly.

Last month we won a folding bike in a lucky draw. Even before I rode it, I knew it is some cheap brand and it proves me right after riding it around my taman. I had to tighten and adjust all the bolts and nuts. I let my gf ride it since she is much lighter than I do, but she also mentioned that the bike is so wobbly and unsafe. So I sold it off soon after. The fb is Treking and only cost around RM350.
The best thing about it is being so portable that if fits in our car and enables us to drive to our desired destination to start our riding journey.

I've been reading and watching some youtube videoes on fb, and had set my own budget of below RM1.5k as a starting point (so that I can upgrade to a better fb and appreciate it in the future)
I would love to get a second hand fb if that is possible. My question is, is it a good idea to get a 2nd hand fb as I don't see many people talking about 2nd hand fb, and if so, what are the best options within RM1.5k and what to look out for. TIA

Hi guys, newbie in folding bike. (1 months only)
Currently i am using Raleigh Calypso Aloy 7 gears (shimano) all standard without any modification.
I noticed that during cruising (flat surface) high gear only get around 25km/h.  My level la... am not pro. Haha
Am considering to upgrade to Dahon Visc D18 or P20 soon. (because of its look and spec).

My question is.. how fast (kmh) can i expect to get with Dahon VISC? no modification.
Hope sifus here can help me because am highly considering that bike,

mtb usually maintain 30kmh or max 35kmh (strong leng) on the road. they are not too fast compare to roadbike.

if u on tight budget, try adopt freewheel cog that got 11t. its hard to find, but its a cheaper option.

changing to a new bike like dahon visc also giving u a new feel. but remember, its still wont feed ur next hunger for speed enough

Also, what sort of cycling app do you guys usually use to track distance and routes covered? I am just starting out, using Strava (seems to be the most recommended and famous app around) free version. Any other recommendation?   

And... my litepro crankset seems to be giving out some weird noise when I pedal. Any idea what might be the cause? My bike is a fnhon blast

I have XDS AFB320 (2x8 speed), thinking of buying another FB and give the XDS to my son. Budget around RM1.5k, 2K max looking at used FB. Not hardcore (yet), cycle around taman for exercise purposes.

Have options Camp victor (11S), TRS Rochet (10S, with some upgrades), both around 1.5k. wondering whether shd I explore and pay more for well-known brands eg Dahon, Tern, Fnhon? With the 1.5k, specs won't b compatible with TRS and Camp.
