my KS20 is running quite smoothly at the moment, i better not kacau it too often. it only hanged once, when sms + wifi + incoming call. so far so good. hehe.

anyone can help me ? how to do the setting for wifi ..
my ks20 at home no wifi i click ON sometime it stated available ..

then how ? cannot use also .. need create new network ? 1st time use Windows Mobile phone

it will automatically prompt out to connect if it detected any available wireless network.just follow the step and choose your own wireless ssid and key in the passkey

How big is WM6.1 Professional ROM? 128MB RAM is enough for this 6.1?

your house has no WIFI facility, so you shd NOT get the wifi connection at all. meaning, no wifi for you to surf the et.

the KS20 shows 'available' because : -

1. the are wifi connections somewhere nearby in which you can 'borrow' to use, provided they are the 'open access' or 'non-secured' wifii. however, i doubt it becase chinaman dont like to share it freely with neighbours!!! (my wifi is non secured and anyone can use it nearby my house ... hehe)

2. most likely, the 'available' is the MAXIS WAP' !!!!!! be careful, it you simply click and connect to this, it costs you a fortune. i found this out thru the harf way. i was like you, i thot there were so many good people around to let me use wifi throughout the night, and i played with it. at the end, i paid almost rm350 for the maxis wap !!! i saw the bill only i lrealised that i wa surfing via maxis wap. THIS ALMOST MADE ME POK KAI ....

conclusion : if your house has no wifi, you cant wifi. simple la.

p/s: to play safe in avoiding clicking on the maxis wap, go to wifi setting, select 'access point only'. then maxis cant con you. hehe ..... happi surfing ...

flashing to wm6.1 as i said above: -

1. will void your warranty.
2. some pals had experienced slower and hanging operations. most likely we did not know how to do the setting ..better wait for that strange expert DrWho to come back b4 making further decisions ...

Recently, I encountered a problem in my KS20.

After I soft-reset, my 'WiFi' setting is gone under Wireless. I can only see Bluetooth and Phone but not WiFi. The blue LED light is ON at all times and the icon of 'WiFi' is showing active too. Hence, the WiFi is defaulted to ON but I can't turn it off.

In order to reinstate it, I need to Soft-Reset again to get back the WiFi option under Wireless.

This has happen intermittently among reboots, anyone encountered this before?

i hv not encountered it b4.

but after my hard reset, KS20 only sticks to default keyboard. so, each time i soft reset, i hv to manually switch to pcm keyboard with iphone skin. sigh sigh sgh, koreans !!!!

no la, my SKtool lite does not hv the 'input' option. so got to bear with it la. many thanks.

I haven't experience this before. So far everything is fine. I don't dare to install SKTools anymore unless really really necessary
Disturbing the registry might make the whole thing unstable...(like my previous experience before hard reset)

I experience this too. But not sure is good news or bad news for me as pcm keyboard is not supported when I using internet browser like IE and the opera mini. If I accidentally open browser with the default pcm keyboard, I cannot change to other keyboard/letter recogniser and thus cannot key in any data. So usually the only solution is I have to soft reset to get back to normal keyboard and can switch freely.

my PCM (with iPhone skin) runs well with my IE or Opera..

so far i hav not encounter problem with my pcm keyboard.
though, occasionally it switch back to default keyboard, and i have to set it again... (version 0.20 just came out, and i am going to test it soon)

vito sms does give me occasional problem, msg doesnt sent out ontime, and clash with my S2US (i decide to do away with S2U2)

still looking for best set of software to install, and i plan to do a hard reset again (i wonder if i hav mess up with the registry)

sometimes, it restart itself.
wireless does not giving me any problem till now.

any recommendation for video player ? the default media play giving me a lot of lag..

i still a lot of improvement on my set..

and that program mean what ? the total program in MB i can use ?

where to install software so that phone run smooth ?
i installed PCM keyboard .. but i think want load PCM quite slow in text message .. around 2seconds

The free storage of 114.06mb is in yr phone. Always remember to store program files in yr fone and data/picture/music files in yr Storage Card.

The 35.72mb is yr total RAM available at the moment. The more program you open, the less free RAM you have and up to a point close to 10mb, yr phone will be very very slow and might hang too.

Install SKTool and select the Performance setting under Optimize, it will improve the speed of yr phone dramatically.
