ipohps3 for every RM1000 that you trade, you have to pay RM1 malaysian stamp duty.
so $10k = RM47,450, you have to pay RM48 (round up to nearest RM1000) aka $10.11 in stamp duty

QUOTE(chupapi_munyayo @ Mar 2 2024, 07:05 PM) I fund SGD to buy USD better than I fund MYR to buy USD Moomoo M'sia doesn't accept SGD. and if you are using Moomoo SG (hence u can fund SGD), the commission is way cheaper without malaysian stamp duty QUOTE

QUOTE Where is my money kept? Your money is kept entirely unmingled with moomoo Malaysia's finances. Moomoo Malaysia clients' assets are held through a custodian account and are fully segregated from Moomoo Malaysia 's finances. Moomoo Financial Inc. is a member of SIPC, which protects securities customers of its members up to $500,000. Our in-explanatory brochure is available upon request or at www.sipc.org. https://www.moomoo.com/myanyway i don't think something can be approved by SC malaysia without such custodian services. even Luno does it This post has been edited by Medufsaid: Mar 2 2024, 11:02 PM

Moomoo is a subsidary of FUTU, and is backed by Tencent. Have you googled them up before assuming that they are trying to earn 10% in 1 month to cover the losses

eddie2020 no need to transact to verify. MPlus / Rakuten has to charge you Malaysian Stamp Duty also. you want to avoid, use Moomoo SG (malaysians cannot open this now) or IBKR QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Mar 2 2024, 10:52 AM) wow i calculated & verfied in moomoo app. so if i buy US10k, my commission charged will be $12 (promo) or $15 (normal pricing). $10 goes to Madani it's better to have a moomoo SG account

QUOTE(anakMY @ Mar 5 2024, 07:19 PM) Not less than 8000 means 8000 and above. So 8000 is ok. if u started Day 1 with RM8k, it's ok. If you initially put RM500, then topup Day 2 with RM7500, you'll actually need to topup more, as the Day 1 figure will pull your avg down

you can keep the TnC, but surely somewhere will state that they have the rights to amend the terms at any time if they need to
