Got my 🍎, yummy!

Account creation took 1 business day for approval.
Local FAST transfer cashed into account within a minute (like instantaneous, dayummm).
Gift processed in 2 business days.

Sold my free stock and successfully withdrew the funds including initial deposit.
Need to wait few days to be able to withdraw the proceeds from share sold.
Then convert the USD amount to SGD
Then withdraw fund also need few days.

not so instantaneous as i expected..maybe my expectation too high though

You should use wise.com to transfer, then it's a lot cheaper, like 0.6%

It's cheaper to send direct from cimb sg to cimb my via cimbclicks. There are no charges and the rates are competitive. I just compared it today with wise, wise lost out.

Don't look at fees. Look at final amount received. That will tell you who's the cheapest for same amount of money transfering.

Yes. Transferring using CIMB Clicks gives me an additional RM52. This is implied when I said the rates are about the same between CIMB and Wise.

If you have both Clicks and Wise just launch both apps and compare, and you'll see the same as me.

I know. That's what I am doing. The rates are almost the same.

Btw I don't bother bringing my money back. It's a one way ticket for me.

Agreed. Hence I always check for best rate at that moment of transfer.

How about funding SG account with MYR? Which is the best way to do it? CIMB MY ---> CIMB SG or via BigPay?

Never ever use banks to transfer money from Malaysia.
Malaysian banks -> fintech (Sunway money/bigpay or TransferWise/money match/instarem -> CIMB SG.

Sunway money being the cheapest and not who is cheaper (bigpay or TransferWise). Downside of bigpay is max you can transfer is only RM10k.

Cimb sg to cimb my rate is quite good, it's almost the same as rate displayed in Google.
