That's a really good price. I should have waited. I bought 2 from Shopee seller with Grab vouchers before it was officially available. Could have used the vouchers for something else. 3rd one I got from Switch when Grab had RM20 rebate promo. Alas no engraving.

Well, it's okay, can't win them all. I don't engrave anything on all my Apple devices. Somehow AirTags gave me the vibes of "must engrave".

Fate has it, Apple Malaysia no 4-pack. Price too tempting from ITworld.

My cheapskate mind said, either you pay RM129 X 4 for engraving, or when (BIG IF) Apple Malaysia offers 4 pack, I'm paying extra RM20-30 bucks for engraving. *clicks checkout*

Got, later I post. Went to Bangi on Saturday. Basically not many updates. I guess because MCO time and also late already. Between 6:40pm-9:40pm, only 6 location updates. All updates were in Sungai Long where I started and when I arrived at Bangi. No updates during the journey there. No road blocks, might gotten more updates when car slowed down for road block. I see abang pulis usually have iPhone.

Did another test on Saturday evening. This time to a less densely populated area (Banting), in the middle of the FMCO, fewer cars & people around and also quite late in the day, lagi fewer people.


6:50pm - Started off in Sg Long. Already quite deserted at this time. I got this at 7:28pm. My daughter was manning the Mac at home tracking me. This was the first update that she received and it was quite delayed.


7:37pm - Update received 7:41pm. All updates came in 5-20 mins late. Already in Banting. No updates on the highway at all unlike the other day where I had an update while cruising on the NPE.

8:42pm The last 3, I was already at my destination. Forgot to check if the person I was meeting with had an iPhone.


8:46pm - Update received 9:25pm, almost 40 mins later. Driving out of Banting.

No more updates until I reached home at 9:41pm.

There were rumours that Apple had the AirTag ready for a 2020 launch but postponed it to 2021. Maybe this is why. It wouldn't have worked nearly as well in the middle of America's lockdown.
