Alternatives

Personally using Darktable. Will try RawTherapee and lanun Affinity photo. Lightroom is great because there's alots of presets online.

Used Audacity to mix some tunes/OSTs for a production. Its basic but works well.

Anyone else have tried alternatives?
inb4 ts bodo for using presets. Editing/cleaning 400+ raw files in one go is exhausting.

Alternative is fine but not industrial standard. Imagine the nightmare dealing with vendors (printers) because you use some open source format instead of adobe.

Depends on which printing vendor you hire.

Ones I do still uses legacy PDF versions that GIMP already supports. Been printing business cards and flyers without any color mismatch, misalignment or bleed issues so far.

He got the annual package.
If he choose monthly package, more expensive but can opted out without penalty.

I've used gimp 2.0 and paint.net before. I like gimp 2.0 better.
but their magic lasso tool still cannot beat photoshop

Well if they support, then that's great but most of them will blame at your files if the color doest match.

I wouldn't call them alternatives .... adobe is like EA of the art industry, ever since they stop 1 time payment product, their stupid plan fluctuate whenever they feel like, their "monthly subscription" don't give a shit if you have not touch their product in that month and those vampires don't even care if you loose or don't have business due to external or internal problem.

I use clip stuido paint, 1 time pay, get it during 50% discount, shit load of feature very very comfortable to use.

Get davinci resolve for video , audacity for audio ... the free and open source list are pretty accurate .... just avoid dracula at all cost.

Is affinity photo a good/decent photo editing app compared to light room?

Or is light room miles/leagues better?

That’s why don’t use Adobe. Their subscription service is a scam. If you need video editing software switch to final cut. 1 time payment and done deal with lifetime software support.
