do you want to DCA monthly into something like FD or just dump a significant sum into FD?

since you have a significant sum,....if you divide this significant sum into 12 months,....for DCA purposes

ex: if you have 12k,..to be DCA 1k each month
after the initial placement of 1k, you will have balance of 11k,...
next month DCA another 1k, balance will be 10k....
and so on, so on...

where will you put that balance of it while waiting for monthly deployment from it?
the balance will be put in Saving a/c or in Milo tin?

then Use Dollar-Cost Averaging to Build Wealth Over Time....
sort of like monthly saving into your piggy bank

(since there is no significant amount (lump sum) for comparison or option available)

btw, for this wealth build over time with this Versa may just be "wealth in number value" only, not equivalent to wealth as in more purchasing power.......due to the possible depreciating MYR and inflationary cost

While waiting for his responses, I kay poh abit.
I think if the DCA is used to smoothen the volatility of the average price, then it is not very useful to concentrate the effort of DCA into a mmf product as the volatility of the price is too little to hv much impact emotionally n mathematically for most people to do to average the price
But if the DCA is used for the purpose of accumulating money, then DCA into mmf is OK...
