Hmm... I don't like the idea of smacking even lightly to teach your dogs. sad.gif Someone is bound to smack too hard one time.

Barking not necessarily bad. Mika 99% of the time is friendly to people I walked up to. If she barks at home after hearing something outside, I reward her. She did the right thing.

If an electrician, cable, and others that are not 'friends', I keep her in another room before greeting them. If she barks, I also reward her after that. It's good to teach your dog to read signs from you to know who's friendly and who's not.

Of course I'm just talking about barking. Bitting and signs of other aggression are different and need to be dealt with differently.

Hey all. smile.gif I'm not in UK. I'm in US. Even if I were to go home, I don't think I can take Mika with me. Too much of a hassle with weather change, quarantine, long flight hours etc. I believe I commented on this on some other thread.

I see all these activities you all have and I am envious!!! So want to join you guys but can't!

She may like to play with the snows!! more fun then here. lol.

which part are u located at?
digitral- Ah.. mika u think suit the saint bernerd? well, i dun think so, HAHA! becoz kinda girly name for a saint bernerd. LOL!
*
Ya... she likes the snow but I hate having her out because she gets all wet and it tough because she lives in the house with us. Gotta get a house with a covered back patio in the future. I'm in Oklahoma, US. Any of you happen to touch down in Oklahoma, let me know. I'm come pick you up with Mika. Hahahah.... laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hmm... I also don't know who Mika Nakashima is... My Mika still acts like a baby so the name suits here. smile.gif I think Hugo suits Mochi's as well. I like names that sound like a name. tongue.gif

How about you just ask them why no photos allowed? It's not like it's going to cause the pets any harm... unsure.gif

I have used cheese as treats during training. No problems for me. I buy a block and cut it into 1/2 in cube.

When you guys say cheese, may I know which type? Those low-fat ones or normal cheese which can be found in Tesco? Kraft brand type?

Whatever that's cheap at the store. Just used as training treats, not regular treats.

You can give as treats daily. All have instructions on the back based on size of dogs. Some might say up to 8 treats for dogs 50-100lbs, 5 treats for dogs 30-50lbs, etc.

The treats are all bite size. smile.gif

That would be great! Actually best if your dog eat it without mixing anything else.
Yap, NORMALLY in a week time, you will see obvious reduction already, keep on trimming the stained fur, then maybe 1 week later, no more new stain already. You must keep trimming the stained part until no more new stain only you stop. It works on all my maltese, i believe it will works on yours too!
Perhaps you can try provide your doggy without mixing, see he eat or not, and faster start lar, the heavier your dog getting, needs to consume more leh, what u waiting for?
Feed daily for 2 months, very likely the stain no more, then gradually reduce it, if no more stain, can stop & very likely wont come back. We can't guarantee though because we are dealing with live pets, not like we paint a robot white means white, but from experience, most dogs never come back if it works.
Alrite, "on the way" to add!
