Fan or not, the benchmarks are there. All you need to do is stare at it, it's right in the face. That's how people make informed decisions about what to expect with the money they pay for a product.

I like AMD and use AMD. but I'm also an Intel user. I look at the facts and make decisions on what could be the best for my circumstances. Simple as that. Nothing to do about fanboyism. No matter how you detest AMD, it will not change the fact that Intel got their collective arses whooped, even with desktop chips on laptop systems.

Twisting facts? Every intel fanbois will jump in joy after watching this video. Of course Youtubers would need to milk some attention. Why don't you post Hardware Unboxed's video on the subject as well? They hold no punches, even NVidia threatened to boycott them for not falling in
Why not take the best of both AMD and Intel? Intel's 10980HK, and then AMD has their 5980HX. Even then, the comparisons would be not "fair", because of various baseline issues,

like
a) can both (regardless any chip) be locked and measured at a single TDP point? (Intel motherboard TDP guidance has always been ignored so that the chip draws more power for performance)
b) same RAM, same GPU (this is also problematic as people do understand RAM timings affect both chips differently, and now AMD has this RAGE / SAM mode, even if it doesn't work with NVidia GPU, it doesn't mean AMD hasn't taken steps to enable Resizable-BAR support with Nvidia, again, another issue)
c) price tier issues (even if you assume MSRP issue)

Just like Intel fanbois called out various other videos where Youtubers used Intel 10870 (and not 10875) chips against AMD's 5800H (which isn't even "second best", but its definitely one of the more, if not the most popular chip used in a lot of so called 'high-end' laptops), I think AMD fanbois definitely got this one right.

But just to humour you, if we're looking at Intel 10785H, I think the equivalent on AMD's side should be the 5900H. The 5900HX variant could also fit in, but I hold reservations about the 5900HX due to some factors.

Why don't you do that and then see the flak you'll get from both sides? (Yes, literally, both sides). I won't stop you if you wanna do that. Go ahead! biggrin.gif
