versatility, offroad, reliability go fortuner. it's a ute based SUV with body on frame and diff lock. good for towing too
comfort, CX8, presumably ive test driven fortuner, Everest, Pajero Sport and LDV D90 ride comfort is best in the D90 followed by Pajero Sport and Everest, then only fortuner I'd recommend pajero sport over both CX8 and fortuner This post has been edited by Subang Nuclear Reactor: Mar 29 2021, 05:32 AM |

QUOTE(LTZ @ Mar 28 2021, 06:43 PM) Some mention that new facelifted has better ride quality...the one with legender face. I am looking into this now..... CX8 & Tiguan Allspace too there s only so much can be done on industrial chassis and gas.mileage is also not impressive for diesel due to heavy chassis mazda diesel is 100x more.refined |

Test drove the cx8 and I think it’s pretty good. Maybe the infotainment kinda old skool though. Fortuner haven’t test drove yet.

Fortuner 2.8 tebudiesel
Not as bumpy as many people say. Its quite comfortable for me. Plus fortuner are using coil spring and not lift spring like the hilux at the rear. It is 4wd suv after all, if u expect it as comfort as camry then wrong. My hilux rogue if compare to pre-facelift, less bumpy but still bumpy than fortuner. After changed to softer absober then feel comfy for the rogue. Fortuner u no need to change anything, its comfortable. If u want quieter engine get fortuner 2.7 petrol but quite high fuel consumption compare to 2.8 diesel. CX8 also good choice btw. |

QUOTE(LTZ @ Mar 28 2021, 04:50 PM) Ur mind like me....and I am thinking the same option now 😅😅 Wow u what gred can afford 200k car lulNever drive or ride with fortuner....some said too bumpy due to body on frame. If the ride is good I can consider that...downside is the head unit looks really aftermarket. CX8 if flagship only 6 seater... and headunit quite small |

Always travel with 7 adults +1 baby seat
Just want to say , back row three adult (one 170, two close to 180) still ok from melaka to Penang Not as bad as most people claim, bumpy don't think so. If want less headache will get an fortuner, more versatile and rugged, after all it's an 'mpv' so don't expect can take corner and zig zag like your usual sedan /myvis on the road. If u drive gently u can feel the beauty of this car.lol Only downside is luggage space not really enough, cannot take in hard case , maybe install a roof rack for longer distnce travel This post has been edited by AyamBlend: Feb 21 2022, 08:12 AM |

CX-8 driver syok but passengers pening kepala after a test drive trip. Goyang macam ship. Suspension too hard, drive slow pening kepala, drive fast semua passenger will muntah.
Fortuner no test drive car, so no comment at the moment. VW Tiguan Allspace and Peugeot 5008 can consider as well if you no look at RV and pocket deep enough to maintain conti cars. This post has been edited by RicoT: Feb 21 2022, 08:20 AM |

QUOTE(Revoz @ Feb 21 2022, 01:02 AM) Fortuner 2.8 tebudiesel 2.8L Turbocharged Diesel is a nice choice, horse power is not important in big size fortuner, but the torque 500Nm is quite impressive, for the 2.7L petrol variant is a total junk fuel guzzler and underpowered. Same as Mazda, turbocharged diesel variant is good to go, NA should be 3.5L onward for this sub 2 ton vehicles for good acceleration, otherwise is a pump gas kit fuel guzller even worse than mostly any 3 tons lorry out there. Not as bumpy as many people say. QUOTE(AyamBlend @ Feb 21 2022, 08:11 AM) Always travel with 7 adults +1 baby seat Even better than Myvi zig zag and corner much better, no problem doing corner over 140km/h, I often doing road trip on Kundasang road during hill climb from Tamparuli to Ranau, but must upgrade the suspension kit, change to better RIM's and Tires, additional stabilisers bars, this simply upgrades costs you another RM35K alone. The acceleration is 2x much better to any sedan comes with 2.0L NA engines, this 1GD-FTV is comes with 204 Hp & 500Nm torque, easily let Myvi eat dust anytime! that is stock engine config comes from factory, simply upgrade aftermarket chip like alpha tech, easily gain 300hp & 800Nm torque. Is another step of beast that need skills & experience to take control.Just want to say , back row three adult (one 170, two close to 180) still ok from melaka to Penang Not as bad as most people claim, bumpy don't think so. Who buys cx8 to drive like civic la? Its meant to be family comfort. Cruising speed 110 to 130 on highway but 80 90 on windy roads should be ok
