Is this phone out in Malaysia yet? It says 'coming soon' on Nokia Asia website. And its little brother 5310 is labeled as 'New'. Yet no sight of either in the land where people change phone once a week ?

Not 1 Nokia can even Match the Quality of SE Walkman's Walkmans have been around since 1973 !

Does 5610 come with *In-Ear-Headphones* ?

No it doesn't but who cares? I got a decent pair of Creative in-ear headphones at last PC Fair for only RM50.

At RM 1300, the 5610XM goes against the RM1200 SE W580. 5610's advantages are:
Cheaper memory format (micro SD)
Longer music battery life
Larger LCD
Music sliding key
3 MP AF camera with flash (big advantage)
3G and front camera

BTW, the 5610 and N81 are out in Malaysia!!! (Well, hopefully this info is accurate la)

no, i'm in sarawak, miri =) its really out, so is 5310 (5300 bar). I saw 5610 blue color, shocked me too.

Very ironic that 5610 was announced later but available earlier in Malaysia versus 6500 Slide when these two fellows are actually almost the same phone!!

wel, i went yesterday and saw a few new phones out, k770, k850, 5610 5310 and 6500s.

Haniz, this is probably the only phone in the market that has build in dedicated audio chip.......so im sure the sound Q will be better than SE. im getting this phone....if the price is not too high....if its too close to k850i, i will but k850i instead

I'm planning to get one too... depending on which is cheaper by next month - 6500 slide or 5610... since both are essentially the same phone. my current preference is towards 6500 for smaller size

played with the real set yesterday together with the 5310..

first impression...for 5610..

the slider mechanism is good like the 5300..
the glossy front looks great..
the dpad is RUBBER, dont really like the feel of it, ( just like the n81 buttons)
the send/end/softkeys are plastic..4 buttons combine with 1 plastic plate..good tactile feedback..but donno will break of not..hehe

5310..

good built quality..slim..love the dedicated music keys at the side..
nothing much to complain here..its all good..i think..

wow... waiting for some actual users review 1st

whats the street price for these two babies now?

bought it yesterday the nokia 5610 rm1350, wow the slide is very good quality, on par with samsung slide...the screen is crisp and very nice...very solid phone....

I think the Nokia 5610 should be around RM1300 and 5310 for RM1000.... This is my estimate only based on 6500 Slide euro -> RM conversion because I havent seen the phones yet.

1) do you think the 5610 is too bulky? from the pics it looks kinda bulky...
2) how is the music sound Q since this phone have built in audio chip.
3) camera - any concerns with the exposed camera at the back?

1. nope, not bulky at all, it is slim if you ever touch the actual set.
2. the sound is better than my previous n70 and my current using dopod 838pro, is this a music phone? is yes i don't bother about it, i bought it because of the design.

the pictures is the same as posted, the slide scroll bar is use to scroll thru menu such as gallery, music and bla bla bla instead of using arrow keys. it is light, it is solid, feels great, and i hate the memory slot!
