bought it yesterday the nokia 5610 rm1350, wow the slide is very good quality, on par with samsung slide...the screen is crisp and very nice...very solid phone....

1. nope, not bulky at all, it is slim if you ever touch the actual set.
2. the sound is better than my previous n70 and my current using dopod 838pro, is this a music phone? is yes i don't bother about it, i bought it because of the design.
3. the camera is better than my previous n70 and currently using dopod 838pro. no specific comments with the camera cause it works like the way i expected.
the pictures is the same as posted, the slide scroll bar is use to scroll thru menu such as gallery, music and bla bla bla instead of using arrow keys. it is light, it is solid, feels great, and i hate the memory slot!

you will understand why i hate it when you bought it............hehehehehehehe

yeah la i hate the most is i need to open the back cover.....none of my ever owned phone need to open up the back cover to switch card...dammit...i only realized it after bought it....

yesterday i had turn it up and down for dun know how many hundread times while watching TV, it my bad habit needing to do something with my hand when watching tv, and guess what? the slide still solid stiff and not like my many years back first nokia slide phone 6111. regarding the lag response, i did not encounter it, it runs smooth smooth, i have near to 2 gb of videos and pictures, all loaded nicely smooth smooth, and i like the back part with circles, looks like instead of plain.

sorry la brother, you ask the wrong guy about screen, its been a long time i never use a phone, i had been using PDA all this while and of course cannot compare a pda lcd with a normal phone, i find it clear lor, crisp, and kindda bright la, depends on themes also.....sorry la, i really cannot tell the differences cause its been too long i didn't use a normal cell phone...i only use thise 5610 at night nia after office hour

ok, after days of playing with this cellphone which i bought last week, i gotta say this phone ain't gonna last long.

Design Impression
from a distant, it looks good, for a while observation, it looks good, after spend saturday and sunday with it, it's an ugly fugly phone. overall, if have a glance on this phone, it's a beautifull phone.

Accessories.
i went to a few shop looking for pouches for this phone, 4 shops i wwent to, never heard of 5610 till i show them my phone...they are impress with nokia new design. Somehow, after searching thru, no pouches is fit for thise phone, those pouches is either too thick or too long. i ended up with a samsung pouches....arrgghhh!!!!

The Slide.
i am not impress at all cause i know after using this phone for 6 months, the slide will be loose. This is based on my experience with nokia first slide phone 6111. just less than a week, my slide is loose

Buttons.
the volume button is not responsive, i have to press it with my finger till the button bend in to get response. This is due to the flat design method for the phone, look nice but ain't pratical. the camera button felt horrible, it is so bumping and not solid at all, to autofocus it and to take a shot is very much incosistent due to pressing the button is too rubber feel. The slide button wear and tear test is not good too, i know somehow the slide button ain't gonna last long. just less than a week, my slide button is a bit loose.

The LCD screen.
It is ok, no comment, nothing so impressive about it. it is clear, crisp and there is nothing to scream about it.

The Lights.
Now this is the weirdest part. if the slide remain in the default position. no lights will appear for the arrow keys and soft keys. the light will only appear if i slide up the screen. damn weird!!!

The Sound.
whatever they claimed about the dedicated chip, it is pure BS, my dopod 838Pro produce better sound effect. The pitch is too high causing cracking effect on the speaker, the music clearity is not up to my expectation, my 3 years old SE K-600 produce better music compare to this 5610 model.

and one last thing i need to mention is the open up the back cover to change the memory card is so pathetic, it is just not smooth to remove the cover and that cheap design is just so dissapointing.

Conclusion: It is a very beautifull phone, but the price 1360 bucks ain't worth it. my mate Samsung U600 outperform this phone interm of build quality, sound, screen clearity and sliding wear and tear tolerance is much more better than 5610.

some are selling it at 1.8 k with bluetooth headset, for normal package, its around 1.2k - 1.3k ++ for avaxx set

i am so regret i never go for 5310, i was indeed choosing 5610 or 5310 as my secondary phone for weekend use....i chose 5610 cause the design caught my attention, 3G capability and scroll button. thats it!! but i too like 5310 cause it is light and very slim, but i hate candy bar phone. so ended up with 5610, i suggest you go straight to 5310 cause at least you have no worry on the tear and wear matters.

mind show me the shop selling it at rm1199????? i mean either zitron or avax, my dude friend work for avax also say he wanna know which shop selling it at 1199 which is the cost price.

ok i wanna add some more comments after playing with this phone. regarding the sounds, it ain't sounds good on speaker, this is i guess a nokia traditional issues with the cheap speakers, BUT it rocks when on earphone!! the audio widening makes it superb!!!

the battery life, i played entire album of green day collection, 23 songs, max volume on the nokia earpiece, the battery level from 100% drop to 40% and i say thats sucks cause this is suppose to be a walkman kindda phone and i should able to play music for at least half day and make calls, sms, net surfing for another half a day.....however, the battery really is a huge turn off.

the backcover cannot cover properly, leaving the upper left edge a huge gap. bad design bad clips.

i had tried numerous time to restore the phone, it takes me 3 tries to make the restoration successfull.

anyhow, i think i am kindda in love with this phone, the mp3 playing quality is good. it is still a cheap budget mp3 phone with great design. i couldn't expect a perfect phone with perfect quality slide with 1.3k. good things ain't come cheap.

for those wanna get it, i would like to remind ya all, this is not really a walkman phone or claim by nokia as music express phone or whatever....its gimmick...if you need a walkmen phone, get a Sony ericsson.....5610 is just a normal 3g phone rebranding as a walkmen phone.

hehehehe finally you do agreed with me the slide is cheap, i had been using a few slide phone from samsung, goodness, samsung is the only true player in the market for slide phone...dead solid.

regarding the hang issue, you might wanna check or re-arrange your files in it..i am running at 4gb, no issues..

dude, let me share this with you, all my life as a consumer, i buy what i want without listening to others, i make purchases based on my lust for the product and not opinions...the money is mine, i waste it anyway anywhere i want to.

buy it if you want to, live with it and love it or hate it and bang it. for year 2007, i had bought over 4 laptops, none of it stick with me for 3 months except the benq i bought.

buy what you like, don't listen to others, buy for sastifaction, the money is yours

cause i like it, better than my previous acer ferrari, better than my previous compaq v3000, better than my fujitsu cseries...i dun know why, but one thing for sure when i am mad at coding, i bang it with my fist and it is still working. i slammed the lcd down, it still survive. when i have debugging error; i curse at my benq and she never curse me back...i dun know .... i like the name of benq joybook, sound so gay...joybook
