Added on November 11, 2007, 10:41 pmOkay I have decided, this 5610 is for me! Nice design, decent music capability, and being a Nokia user it'll be user friendly for me. I don't care what others say(no offence), I just want to get rid of my 2310(I am so bored with it! )

Now I'll just let my hand shiver for a while(around 4-5 months or so) and wait for the price to drop.

Anyways what is the latest/lowest price have you guys seen this phone is sold? AP, original doesn't matter, I'll wait anyway. And is there a price difference between the Peninsular and Sabah and Sarawak?

mine got lagging sometimes.. dunno why.. sometimes the phone cannot read the memory card...

i finally agree the slide is cheap...


hey anyone selling the crystal case and the screen protector for this??

hehehehe finally you do agreed with me the slide is cheap, i had been using a few slide phone from samsung, goodness, samsung is the only true player in the market for slide phone...dead solid.

regarding the hang issue, you might wanna check or re-arrange your files in it..i am running at 4gb, no issues..

Now you guys make me confused again.

dude, let me share this with you, all my life as a consumer, i buy what i want without listening to others, i make purchases based on my lust for the product and not opinions...the money is mine, i waste it anyway anywhere i want to.

buy it if you want to, live with it and love it or hate it and bang it. for year 2007, i had bought over 4 laptops, none of it stick with me for 3 months except the benq i bought.

buy what you like, don't listen to others, buy for sastifaction, the money is yours

Actually I have the like for the two of them. But since one is priced more than the other, I have to make my choice very clear.
I love the 5610, its stylish, has good features and is newer compared to the 5700. But I've been eyeing the 5700 for such a long time and I still love it! It's like choosing 2 women, I can't have both of em, it's a torture!

But since you guys have been talking about its quality issues, I'll have the 5700. I love that twisting thingy.
And the stereo too.

cause i like it, better than my previous acer ferrari, better than my previous compaq v3000, better than my fujitsu cseries...i dun know why, but one thing for sure when i am mad at coding, i bang it with my fist and it is still working. i slammed the lcd down, it still survive. when i have debugging error; i curse at my benq and she never curse me back...i dun know .... i like the name of benq joybook, sound so gay...joybook

Ok here is my opinion..
My girlfriend got this phone 1~2weeks back and i got a K810i instead.
1. The camera: It is reasonably good (please don't compare to K810i, K810i is cybershot ).. the night picture is not bad, this is due to dual led flash. She took photos at Lee Hom album signing concert from the VIP seat. There is not white grain on the picture.
Another thing with the camera is that you should expect less function than those of K810i. (example: scenes and shoot mode)
2. The video: it is so much better than K810i. trust me nvr use K810i to take video, it sucks! unless you flash it with a better firmware.
3. The music: I would say it is reasonable... most important it is loud... but don' t put it to max.. it will explode alil.
4. OS: it is a S40, that is the major drawback from the phone. You can't install new application to it except for java. To do some settings to it (let's say to change the wallpaper), it takes a long while to understand the whole OS. Actually once you get all the settings right, then it shouldn't be a prob. 5700 have s60 which is a strong point.
5. Video Call: not bad comparable to K810i but you can't use the 3.15mp camera as a camera.
6. The back cover: It will take awhile to have the skill to open it. After opening it for 5 times, u will know how to do it.
7. Memory card slot: it is not hot swappable. You'll need to restart your phone to put another memory card in. it will not recognize the new memory stick..
Conclusion: If you are a user who just use it to call, message, video call, listen music and take normal photo, this is the phone for you!
If you like to play alot with the function of the phone, just forget it. It is so damn diff to set and install stuff.
I think s40 and s60 vastly puts 5610 and 5700 apart, respectively.
AP and Ori price different is only less than RM50. Get ori la. My gf got it at RM1220 with 1GB memory stick.
For me, i wan a good camera to play it so i opt for K810i. it is just a RM100 more with 1GB memory stick.

nokia 5610 is using micro sd instead of memory stick la..memory stick is only for se product...

isn't memory stick refer to: sd card, micro sd, mini sd, m2 m2 micro?
please correct me.

lol...you're one heck of a person.

ive experience playback the music files with little cracking or poping sound without accessing the menu or gallery, but only noticeable with earphone/headphone playback. any other user have the same problem?

5070? mmmm.. i better like this phone.. nice for blue color.
Symbian S60? i get bored sometimes with S60.. slow...

If u prefer S60, 5610 totally lost :-)

u can check the http://www.getjar.com/software/ for the software for s40 mobiles. u il get lots of applications...

also check http://www.fonefolio.com/ as per the user maniual of fonefolio we can use it for accessing the microsoft office files like quickoffice(s60).
but i hvent use it yet.. any one is using it????
