Err is that the power ground cable that is together with my piping now ? I thought the technician should know better, because it seems serious.

If want to follow everything properly.. I think your installer will probably refund you and decline the job laugh.gif generally my principle is that electricity (230V stuff) and water should not mix.

But from the pic it seems like mine is mixed together ? I did consult a friend who does electric as well, he say as long as the wiring together with the piping is not "naked" as in the inside of the wiring is not exposed, it's fine to get in touch with water.

Should be ok, based on other AC mfg diagram in their installation manual

According to this installation, the cable and the piping hose is all together isn't it ? Yeah I guess it should be ok, I mean they should know the basic, if it would result in something bad, they wouldn't have install the wiring cable together with it. unsure.gif

Yes all wrapped together, technically as long as the insulation is intact it will be OK. Ideally should be in its own conduit because the cables are single insulated only, conduit so expensive until want to cut corner until like that. Coz for long term, as the insulation inside there all wet wet it can grow mold and/or repeated hot cold hot cold cycle it give thermal stress to the cable insulation, and assuming the pipe is 100pc smooth without sharp edges then should be ok.

Another factor is the potential for rubbing out of the insulation over time due to vibration of the aircon.
