You need more than RM10K UST projector + screen to replace TV to watch in daylight. Few K projectors won't perform well during the day. Unless you are willing to watch at 60" or below. In this case, better get a TV.  tongue.gif

Saw on Taobao quite a few high end one like not bad
For example the latest jianguo o2 ultra(selling price maybe 10k Chinese yuan?), vidda c1 pro, or jimi rs pro 3

What’s your thought on these devices?

FYI, projectors perform the best in dark room. Above models won't replace TV and perform well in bright room.

C1 Pro is the best value among all. You need ALR screen for UST.

Hi JayceOoi, I'm currently seeking for a budget projector with <RM2,000 in price. My room is quite dark but I'm looking for something brighter than my current one (Mi Youth Projector @ 500 ANSI lumens).

The above Wanbo X5 caught my eye but I'm wondering if there's a better option based on your experience for the requirements below;

- Android/WiFi/built-in features are not important as the projector would be connected to CCwGTV 4K.
- Brightness / good color reproduction is appreciated, 4K input/HDR support is optional due to the price point but it is a bonus if available.

Basically that's it. The throw ratio/screen size would be adaptable based on the projector's specifications later. TQVM in advance & appreciate your expert input on this 🙏

Yours is much better than X5. Not much choices below RM2000. Mi Gen 1 is hard to beat for the price. thumbup.gif

TQVM for the reply! I have stumbled upon this ranking of yours as well: https://bit.ly/2GHyqXy

It's very helpful & I believe mine is listed @ Row 81. Will perform some deeper studying before upgrading soon 🙏🙏

Hi TS, any recommendation for rm3k budget bedroom projector? Preferably portable as need to move house every year in SG also unlikely can setup for projector screen, just shoot on wall/ceiling at night.

Okay also but no Android TV. Not so easy to project to ceiling. A bit heavy to do so.

Good, small size. Mi Smart Projector 2 is the one of the options. But it has green tint on the colours. Better ones are over your budget.
