@fylon, congrats.
dram timing is not so important, in 478 system, so 3-3-3-8 or 3-4-4-8 or 3-4-3-8 or 3-3-2-8 , u can try out the combination and get the best result. 2.75V, is ok without active cooling, hence no need additional fan yet. if wanna play safe, get the ram cooler instead. 2.8V~2.85V is the max for the dimm, please DO NOT EXCEED THAT, else, active cooling really is a must when doing 2.85V. rgds, Albert |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 15 2007, 12:07 PM) @pengster @fylon, any issue with heat so far? i mean when running dual instant prime95 ?Yo! Nice to heard that ur system can run stable with 2.7G! Atleast dont have BSOD.. Not bad! @overclockalbert Yea. Last night just try to reach that speed havent do any tweaking yet. Just loosen the timing to default.. Will try to tweak the system again when im free. Dont plan to get active cooling for ram as i would gonna rise the vdimm above 2.75v! Gonna save the active cooling $$ for something better. Maybe high CFM 12cm fan! @herojack41 The Hyper6+ is smaller then BT.. Hm.. But u gotta have a good casing in order to use it. @kabukiawie Haha.. Nop! 4GH will the limit.. The temperature is kinda scary on 4Ghz. Dont plan to put my rigs on risk! @edministrator Haha.. Thats the step on with 4GH. Yet tweak the system to max and make it stabilized. Just raw result atm! @Ray Thank you! and yes, your 3.2E was really a gem. my 2.8E still stuck with 3.8GHz @1.45V lazy to push any more. about your cooling, why not u try to get Delta 120mm fan since u wanna try over 100CFM fan. last time i try it in my Xp-120, pretty good result, just that can't tahan the sound. rgds, Albert |
