that is with sisoftsandra rite? never test memory bandwidth yet .. at first wanna see how high the fsb can goes but when heard fylon's mobo dead .. got scared to test anymore  laugh.gif ... FSB at 246MHz windows can boot normally ... i think it can reach 250MHz but don't dare to try ...  laugh.gif
*
Ya,that's the software.Hehe,i think 246MHz on Sandra is nice man.I guess can get >5500 in the memory bandwidth there. brows.gif Your proc also quite nice in o/c,hehe can go 250MHz..

BH5 chipset can be said good for AMD in my opinion. It can run at tight and high FSB.Yet BH5 perfer more voltage on them if o/c.Normally our mobo just come with 2.8v max or certain might go higher until 3.2v.Yuo want to get BH5 to run on your Gigabyte?

Wao your mobo so good can set until 2.9v. drool.gif Usually only 2.8v as i know.Hehe,do you o/c your RAM ?

nt sure lar, coz my etune gt setting cn up the vdimm, max i try is 2.9V but haven really try it with the ram lar, i just try to see the max that i can clock in the etune (coz the BH5, really like 3.5V  mad.gif , wth how to support wor)
i try to set my freq for my ram b4, the max i can go is  230Mhz until boot windows lar, but that time i didnt try to play wif the vdimm, so zi nt familiar with it, further more my this psu also i dont think cn oc too high, don wan to take risk, wait till i gt a gd PSU, then i try to oc like hardcore, i don wan end up like fylon later,  cry.gif
*
Yes BH5 likes high voltage than the normal chips. biggrin.gif Your 2.9v i think can push your kingston RAM more than 230MHz.

really har? coz rite nw my vdimm only 2.6V hahahha, btw is there any software that cn detect our ram chipset?
*
ER...You can use CPU-Z to see.It will display the name of the manufacturer. If you want to know details, have to read from the RAM itself. biggrin.gif

Haha.. I not sure he wanna let go which one to me. 30cap northwood is 3.0Ghz.. And he do own another 2.8E.. Which one better? By then, i grab a p4p800-x at here dy. RM120 with shipping wo. Gonna trade this p4p800-x with my fren. laugh.gif Cos he dont use the vanilla dy, just wanna keep it as backup. So.. brows.gif Exchange with him.
*
Oh great,3GHz 30 caps northwood can go at least 3.6GHz i guess brows.gif For prescott, you need high FSB to reach that speed. biggrin.gif You consider and see which one is better. I bet this time you won't o/c too hardcore right? wink.gif

it depends on the stepping. and i think in the end both are almost the same as the p4p800x is not an overclocker board. so i believe end up the oc result is almost the same especially you want to run 1:1.
take out the cpu, turn to the back there and count. wink.gif
*
P4p800-x at least can do a mild o/c with good proc on it. smile.gif Don't worry as long as the proc can make o/c ya.Kabu,i think you proc with the mobo is done quite good already since as you said it isn't a hardcore o/cer mobo.I satisfy with the mobo performance.

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 12 2007, 09:12 AM)
@Ray

Haha.. Well.. Still need to wait the p4p800-x reach my hand 1st as well. Fastest also need to wait until need week due 2mrw, sun & monday public holiz. sweat.gif Yeap. That northwood is 30cap proc.. Never toy with Northy before, i heard that it cant be O/C too high right? This time i prepare VR to toy with my rigs. Really scare already.
*
The Northwood 30caps i think is depends on how many GHz you are using. Like irangan last time he owned a 3.4GHz Northwood 30caps,he can do o/c to 3.8GHz stable. I guess for the northwood proc,it's almost hitting the wall at 3.8GHz+ .I bet your 3.0GHz one sure can make 3.6GHz at least.

Haha.. Problem is now the other seller didnt confirm with me whether he wanna sell his p4p800-x to me or not. Im still waiting for his reply. Sent 3 time msg to him already. If cant get the p4p800-x, i cant stay also. My fren wanna keep his board for backup that why he willing to change with me. But just now still cant get reply from the seller.
*
I guess you can get the precott if you like it since you were on prescott core before. The northwood i think won't go as high as prescott in o/c.

haiz....i think the changes of getting fylon's p4p800x is higher than i sell of this 2.4A. Seems like she dont want to leave me. wuwuwu......

Raymond, does it lag like hell?? mine get average of 20+-fps. some part even drop till 18fps. cpu usage is between 96-100% all the way for both thread. Its really too heavy for s478 to fun it smooth. doh.gif
*
Mine is roughly like that. The best can be view at 22+ FPS and lowest on is about 18.6FPS.

QUOTE(shinjite @ Oct 17 2007, 07:57 PM)
yup....AFAIK even a 3.8Ghz would not be able to playback the whole thing in full 23.976fps that is why I am looking for any 4Ghz P4 users XD
*
I think the 3.8GHz won't see that much of different. biggrin.gif 4GHz maybe...

bout 4pm yesterday my com, still ok running like normal, then i shut it off. bout 7pm i on it again then cant on liao
my hsf still rotating, my optical mouse still gt light, seems like i cant boot into bios, btw my buzzer spoil ad, then when i switch on the com the red LED doesnt seem to be blinking, it just light for quite a long time.
im using crt, usually when we on our com, the monitor will hv a tick sound to indicate it switch on rite? then the 2nd tick sound is to log into bios rite? i cant hear the 2nd tick sound, my monitor blank after i switch on my com. if my gc(i use it haven reach 3 months old ler) is nt causing dis prob and also my ram is ok, then wat is the other reason har? wanna ask u guys opinion, cause i malas wanna disassemble my hardware and assemble it bec, my exam is just around the corner,  cry.gif  sweat.gif

bios corrupt? proc dead? hmm.gif
*
Sad to hear that.Between i will suggest you to dismentle all the hardwares including the PSU cables and put them back.Next clear the mobo bios, then on your pc and check whether can boot normally or not.Weired case, you suspecting on your GC ?Any overheat problem happened before?

Yea.. With the xms alone.. Sure give me blank screen like usually we set the CL too tight. Nothing is comming out on the screen. It must accompany wth old D43 then it can boot up. Thats weird.. Maybe the 800SE is rejecting the xms. Guess need to sell it off and change for another ram.. cry.gif
*
Your XMS so picky on mobo one?Erm...Maybe the RAM not suitable with the mobo.Your case is a bit weired, with D43 can boot up and XMS alone can't.I suspect is the timing problem, too tight on XMS.

Then i will let go lo..

Vista wise i think our system still be able to support but the cons of the Vista is just it need more RAM to operate smoother only. biggrin.gif Don't know anyone here who is using Vista now.

QUOTE(pengster @ Oct 20 2007, 03:28 PM)
like the one irangan used to own right? laugh.gif too bad it can only support up to 4 ram sticks at a time.lol
