it depends on the stepping. and i think in the end both are almost the same as the p4p800x is not an overclocker board. so i believe end up the oc result is almost the same especially you want to run 1:1.
take out the cpu, turn to the back there and count.

P4p800-x at least can do a mild o/c with good proc on it.

Don't worry as long as the proc can make o/c ya.Kabu,i think you proc with the mobo is done quite good already since as you said it isn't a hardcore o/cer mobo.I satisfy with the mobo performance.

@Ray
Haha.. Well.. Still need to wait the p4p800-x reach my hand 1st as well. Fastest also need to wait until need week due 2mrw, sun & monday public holiz.

Yeap. That northwood is 30cap proc.. Never toy with Northy before, i heard that it cant be O/C too high right? This time i prepare VR to toy with my rigs. Really scare already.
The Northwood 30caps i think is depends on how many GHz you are using. Like irangan last time he owned a 3.4GHz Northwood 30caps,he can do o/c to 3.8GHz stable. I guess for the northwood proc,it's almost hitting the wall at 3.8GHz+ .I bet your 3.0GHz one sure can make 3.6GHz at least.
