LDP for Lane Departure Prevention, the feature that applies counter force to the steering wheel to prevent departing the lane without using the turn signal. It's different from LDW that just shows the symbol and makes the buzzer sound.

Yeah, it's like Perodua is forcing you to drive safely! laugh.gif
*
Ahh thanks for clarifying.

Is that automatically switched on? I did see some buttons on the right side where the auto leveller used to be on the Myvi. I think I was more interested in the Auto High Beam thingy. Did you manage to test it out? Hahaha.

Went for another test drive last weekend.

My first experience was a bit uneventful as I was more focused on the bells and whistles in the car [the LDW/BSM etc] and felt the car was not as responsive as my Myvi.

Last weekend I managed to get a slightly longer drive and without traffic so I was able to test the 'S' mode. Felt it was more better using this vs the 'PWR' mode.

In terms of acceleration, there is still a bit of lag when I depress the pedal coming out from junction as it was not as responsive as the Myvi when I kick down.

PS: Oh yea, one comment is that the thigh support of the seats somehow not as good as the Myvi. Can feel my thighs a bit raised even in my usual sitting position which isn't too near the steering wheel - which might not bode well for longer distances? hmm.gif

Wow I didn't know it costs RM 2.5k for it.. the salesman didn't tell me the price
Currently driving Myvi and Bezza.. the Axia no more already bro
*
Yea a 2.5k option. tongue.gif

I only wanted the roof spoiler though. Haha too bad they didn't offer it separately.

Probably wait till aftermarket units are available just like the MG3. brows.gif

My bad, I just found out that we can individually switch off LDP without switching off everything under ASA. The setting to switch this off can be found under Settings > Vehicle Settings > Front Camera > Steering Assist.
*
Ahh cool. That's good to hear. Will probably explore more once I get my ride. Hopefully by tomorrow if all goes well. biggrin.gif

Just get my car and downloaded the car manual from Google play store. Speed reading and try out most of the features in the car. Just found out that there is missing guide for the large LCD panel and DVR camera. Any one has any manual for the camera recorder?  Just don't know how to use the button at the recorder and how to inside sd card correctly
*
Hmm, seems odd that some received the SD card and some doesn't for the DVR? Hopefully it's not a case where the SA/Factory is shortchanging customers, unless it was specifically made clear that the DVR doesn't come with it's own SD card.

Anyways, once I get the car, it's off to install the front & rear dashcams + battery pack I removed from my previous car. Probably the installer may need to remove the original DVR unit installed.

Will provide an update once ready.

I'm too lazy to check in my car since it's raining now, but I got the manual together with the free 16GB SD card glued to it. Are you using your own SD card?
Your car ativa? I did not get the book and sd card.. tomorrow will try install sd card...Will buy myself

Tried searching for any videos on Youtube but could only find this installation video:

Might need to wait a while more I suppose until a proper sharing video on the DVR is created.

anyone taking Utility Package? How bout running in the engine?
*
What's the utility package? The door visors, coil mats and boot tray?

I only asked for the visors.

Boot tray the SA said will give for free [but will check if really provided].

The only stuffs I added from the catalog are the wheel lock nuts, vibratile package and the 2 hydrophobic thingy for the side mirrors.

I ban coil mats already cos it's a dust magnet. Prefer the normal carpets actually even on the Myvi.

From a F&F driving experience (Ativa up to 140kmh) so far,
There is minimal difference with Myvi 1.5

Ativa for its height, roadholding is pretty firm, more from the new chassis than the soft suspensions. (Cant imagine the even softer ones on Rocky & Raize).

Interior is smaller and cramp, rear passengers sacrificed for the Bigger bootspace.

Only reason for buying this over Myvi are for the nice displays, safety features and bigger rims.
*
Haha yes. I still loved my Myvi though and it served me well.

Just sold off the car last week in anticipation of the Ativa's arrival

Agreed with woodtiger assessment.

Took the utility,
Door visor is useful.
Mat is SMALLER than stock, what the.. should have gone outside to do it.
Boot tray super flimsy and thin. Got conned. Outside can get thick tray just need to ensure size fits.
*
Wow, seriously? That's quite awful.

I'm waiting till they have the interior slot mats to place on all the cubby holes. Haha. The current ones are without the Ativa logo. I think by the time I bought my Myvi, it was already 2 years since launch so all the accessories were already pretty much ready like the mirror shades, cubby hole mats, boot tray etc.

Hmm, like that might as well get the boot tray from outside.

How's your ride so far bro? Giving you smiles each time you're behind the wheel?

Some lucky person getting yr Myvi !

Ativa looks bulky but handles like a smaller car. The chassis is really good. Except for a few highway runs (engine still new) where the engine is really loud at 4000 rpm, the city drives are smooth and acceleration is super quick from a rolling start due to all the torque from 2,000 rev onwards. Standing start is slow because it is still above a ton and the turbo doesn't kick in from the beginning.
*
Haha yea bro.

Interesting observation especially on this - "Standing start is slow because it is still above a ton and the turbo doesn't kick in from the beginning"

This was one of the key differences I noticed during my 2 test drives in the Ativa vs the Myvi I was using.

Somehow the Myvi was like eager to shoot off traffic lights when I gunned the pedal and I didn't get that same sensation from the traffic lights with the Ativa.

I do admit the Eco Idle mode is much quieter and refined vs the Ativa though - to the point that I may just give it a chance instead of switching it off each time I drive it. laugh.gif

Can you teansfer the NCD if you sell ur car before getting new car? Not sure how transfer NCD works. I assume they use the same record under your name instead of the car coz they already sold to new owner
*
Yes. My SA handled everything.

Probably if selling it yourself, may need to inform the insurance company etc. I suppose there should be someone here who can advise or share more details on the NCD.

Yup, visors quite practical to must have.

Oh, why you need the hydrophobic thingy since can use rain x?

I thought the package coil mats will be better than the original mats. gonna check the mats again.

Later share how much better the vibratile reduce the noise from outside.
*
Yup, at least the visors.

For the side mirrors, I was thinking since they have that film, might as well give it a try. Cos at the moment I have been using Mirror Coat Zero to achieve that water repelling effect on my side mirrors but it leaves a whitish mark on it. I don't like my side mirrors to bead cos it impedes visibility in the rain as I used to coat it with Rain X/Glaco too before I decided to use MCZ.

Yup, will share some feedback on the vibratile once it's installed. What I heard from my SA is that my car likely will need to be brought back for the installation. hmm.gif

As for the coil mats, it looks similar to the ones in use in the CX5 and from experience, those items makes the car looks 'cheap' and a pain to actually clean cos the dirt will get stuck in the mat.

The normal carpet does look dirty if it's dusty but at least it can be taken out easily to wash etc.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, need to set appointment with P2 centre for installation. Thinking to take that too.

Will need to check the coil mats later and compare between the stock coil mats with GearUp version.
*
Yea man. Always curious why can't they install everything at one go since technically the first batch of cars [1-2K units] are already manufactured?

Hmm, do share the feedback on the coil mats then bro. Haha.

I was thinking to even get Trapo mats but at the moment will assess until I receive the car and check how the stock carpets are.

I bought the Trapo mat. The rear pieces are too short. Those area under the front seat are not covered, kedekut fellow. Maybe you can wait and temporarily use any existing mat you have while waiting for them to fix this (need to make noise with them). And without removing the carpet-like mat in the car, the velcro on the Trapo won't stick.

Used Trapo on my previous ride, it’s a bit over-rated and overpriced in my opinion. Also the mat for the bonnet wouldn’t fit properly and would have a small lump laugh.gif
*
Hmm, I'm still contemplating between Trapo or Dodo.

Just saw both on Shopee but the reviews aren't plenty since car is still quite new anyways.

For those who are wondering how the Gear Up coil mats look like.

For me - not a fan of coil mats cos it's quite a PITA to keep clean and dust may accumulate at the bottom of the strands. sweat.gif

If stock like the Myvi, it should be the cotton type. I'm ok with it.

Kinda OCD so I tend to ensure as little dirt on the shoes/slippers before entering car.

Just received my car today.

Granite Grey unit.

Didn't really notice the vibrations that much during stop start traffic but one thing that needs getting used to is the reverse sensation.

First time driving CVT so the reverse part did feel a bit jerky especially when I had to modulate the pedal closely to fit into tight gaps in my house.

Congratulations and welcome to the Granite Grey club! Oh I remember going through that. This is my 3rd CVT so I'm used to it, you'll get the hang of it soon. Others were even more worried about the car engine braking by itself when slowing down to turn at corners lol.
*
Yea, the reverse somehow not so 'instant' as a conventional auto.

Any particular tips regarding reversing? Or just a case of practice makes perfect kind of thing. brows.gif

Cos I really need to either release the brake pedal or press really hard to make it stop completely before I hit the wall. sweat.gif

Didn't really encounter any major engine braking sensation though during my drive back earlier upon picking up the car.

Still feel a bit of whine from the engine when I picked up. Odometer only 11KM. Hahaha.

Hmm, can't really explain.

I'm comparing it with the normal auto cars I've been using all this while.

Somehow the reverse part especially in really tight gaps takes some getting used to.

Silver or Cobalt blue?  Which colour look nicer and look bigger?
*
Colour preference is subjective.

Best to go see in person bro.

The showroom where I placed booking had the pearl white AV and cobalt blue X whilst the test drive unit was the pearl delima red.

I still insisted on getting Granite Grey cos I preferred that colour even on my Myvi.

My wife liked the pearl white but it's going to be a massive pain to keep clean.

proton saga cvt user here

theres some hesitation and delay between putting into R and the car actually moving/creeping, it feels like you need to input some throttle for it to move, then when you do, it jerks.  Difficult to modulate.
*
Hmm, although many have said the D-CVT in use here ain't the same as the older Punch CVT units from Proton.

But you did mention something about the hesitation. Normal reversing like into parking lots is fine but when you park like this [constant front & back movements to slot into a tight spot] - that's where I felt the difference between the Ativa and my previous Myvi most [asides from the size].

I feel the blue looks very attractive but then feel more suitable for youngsters. I plan to get the pearl white 2 tone or pearl white av but the waiting list quite long. The only shorter waiting list is H spec silver.
Thanks for sharing.

That's great to hear.

There's about a month to go before Raya and also before the SST ends on 30/6.

Hope you manage to secure your unit by then bro.
