Hmm, previously I bought a Samsung Galaxy S9 in 2020 from Compasia, also one month warranty and it lasted for a year~ and it was still working quite well until I sold it this year after I bought my Poco F3 during launch~

Of course, the Poco F3 256GB will be on sale brand new again for RM1.4k at the 12.12 sale, so depending on the buyer if they want to save a RM400 with Compasia, it's quite a deal~

Edit: In addition, this can also be a viable alternative to those considering a Poco X3 Pro/Poco M4 Pro, since they can now buy the Poco F3 256GB for under RM1000 from a reputable retailer in Malaysia~
*
no need wait 12.12, in fact its on sale for 1.4k right now as well

still a risk with electronics, never know when bad luck will strike you.. so for 400 more you get brand new virgin + 12 months peace of mind..
Also with a brand new phone, touchwood if anything bad happens like screen cracked, could even get it replaced under warranty if lucky.. i seen someone managed to claim new screen + back glass + battery under warranty when he dropped his phone when he had a motorbike accident.. I also not sure why warranty would cover that, but hey ho lucky him, the person only had to pay for the labour costs..

anyway, i guess its because i dont like the blue colour.. in fact i hate it lol.

you said can use 50 voucher right.. so will be 950. if those slap a case and dont care about blue colour maybe could be worth it for them..

QUOTE(soulz69 @ Nov 30 2021, 03:47 PM)
may need to wait for 12.12 sales on lazada and shopee for that price. usually from 1699 will become 1499. you may find any voucher that can be use during sales period.
*
QUOTE(PeeEl @ Nov 30 2021, 05:22 PM)
Yeah but still it won’t go down that low. I wish it would, though. But he was responding to someone that, that’s the price for it currently. Though he didn’t come out to say it, he didn’t take cognizance of the ROM probably when he commented.
*
So confident ya you, confidently incorrect... WON'T laugh.gif laugh.gif

bro you yourself ignorant dont need accuse me never take into account what ROM all this shit. You think you use bombastic words can look smarter is it? doh.gif

its from lazada poco official global store FYI.
11.11 was 1399, just last friday, lazada black friday sale was 1399 as well. and i assume 12.12 will be 1399 too.

and you know what, after checking others comments, i'm not the first person or the only person to mention this 1399 price..
In fact in this very page, there is mention of it by someone else..

But somehow you still can confidently assume it WON'T go down that low for god knows whatever thought processing that goes on in your head, or in this case a clear lack of.

EDIT:

Planning to buy this to replace my old phone at 12/12. But then since it release half year ago, is it already outdated?
*
what kind of question is this bro..

it all depends on you, the user..

a phone is as latest as anyone perceives it to be..

some people can only do with or only want the latest and greatest..

so to them half year phone is definitely outdated and they already looking forward to the next gen of phones..

some only use it to consume multimedia like songs and netflix..

so as long as do those stuffs snappily the phone is not outdated..

anyway when released the SD870 was the 2nd rank chip behind flagship SD888 for 2021 phones, and is better than the 2020 flagship prior to SD888 release which is the SD865/865+..

So now we are moving to 2022, so you can deduce for yourself where does the SD870 sit now..

1) SD8Gen1 (SD898) << 2022
2) SD888+ (late 2021)
2) SD888 (early 2021) i put both of them at 2nd rank because just a minor improvement, and most flagships are on SD888 and not on SD888+
3) SD870 (early 2021, essentially an overclocked 865+, so its a late 2020 chip but boosted to be able to meet 2021 standards) This is the part you decide for yourself if it's outdated
4) SD865+ (late 2020)
5) SD865 (early 2020)

I would say it's still a mighty proc, and given its price now. It's SUPER worth it.

QUOTE(attw @ Dec 10 2021, 09:47 AM)
I’m pretty sure the phone will run great for the next 3 years minimum so no, it’s not outdated. That said though, if security and software updates are important for you, then you might want to look elsewhere coz Xiaomi is notoriously slow for updating older phones especially in the midrange segment given the sheer number of models they release in a year. That said, I concur with the opinion above, the SD870 is more than capable to handle most of the stuffs you can throw at it for the next 2-3 years.
*
yup and just to add, usually the flagship Snapdragon 8 series tends to age well with time..

So as long as we are using flagship series of Snapdragon we dont have much to worry as it will remain capable for many many years..

Just take a look at the Poco F1 for example which is a 2018 phone, 3 years old phone..
I still have it and it is still responsive, smooth and adequately fast for a 3 year old phone in 2021..

I think got issue, they stopped the rollout. I don't see the update message anymore.
*
didnt stop, that is xiaomi style.. if you choose not to update it wont kacau you for a while.. later only will re-appear..

some ppl like it like that so that wont constantly nag you to update..

also since they go by batch, if you dont want update first they will give your slot for others to update, so if you want update you need wait your turn again..

Sorry if asking dumb questions as I dint buy new phone for few years.
Do we still need to apply screen proctector?
*
there is a factory fitted SP on the phone out of the box..

you can either keep it on and use that SP or you can get highly recommended TG by ibywind, search on lazada.. once you are ready to install the TG, remove the factory fitted SP first..

So... some parts are more expensive than a new phone lol...
*
yeah, funny how the motherboard price is actually more than the price of an entire brand new phone..

not sure if they will revise the price down the line, since those prices are since F3 was launched when it's RRP was 1399/1699..

but its always been this case isn't it and not just for xiaomi other brands also like that..
changing motherboard might as well buy a new phone.. All brand motherboard also not worth changing if not in warranty..

but ayam cukurr that their screen / back glass / battery is relatively cheaper compared to other brands though..
that's the most important thing since those 3 items are not covered by warranty and will be the ones that commonly needs replacement..
Other brands like Samsung if you want change screen also need think 2~3 times because cost around 1k..

motherboard any problem at least got 1 year warranty (unless water damage)

lol phone screens are also glued bro. also, if thats the case then it should follow the price of the screen and not the mainboard. just need abit of heat to remove it imo.
*
you should try find out from xiaomi SC and ask them front camera replacement how much, and if they follow motherboard price then you try argue like what you said above...

im curious now..

well im not curious, you are  biggrin.gif . Why dont you go ahead and contact them.
*
err cause you are the one who is still bringing it up, even when shown actual teardown vids that what you perceived is not true at all?
So seems like you are the one who is insistent on the whole front camera being a separable module, maybe you are more qualified than Xiaomi technicians I guess biggrin.gif
Xiaomi stupid they dont know fix their own phones, smh doh.gif

Don't know what teardowns you watch la, but the ones i watched every single one of them can't remove the front camera module from the screen without damaging it..
Unless you are more expert than those teardown youtube channels, in that case kudos to you thumbsup.gif

*

Physical store need to pay rental and worker la wei, how to sell you cheap2.

Also if you buy online also sealed set la. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

hmm... a lot of sellers say will open box first... hence my reluctance. xyah la sarcastic when reply.

previously seller used to say online also not easy coz those platforms take a huge cut as well..

so, asking if this is still true and if not, any good deal.

like that also need to be sarcastic with reply?
*
LOL WTF.. doh.gif laugh.gif doh.gif laugh.gif doh.gif laugh.gif

How old are you? 10? So gullible?

Stop buying from some random ABCD you find online then..

Go buy from lazada/shopee. Hell, there's official stores on those platforms as well. and they wont even say a single thing to you about opening box first..

yeah, currently checking a few stores but most also rm1399 for 6+128. so far, no luck yet. looking for those in PJ area.

tried official poco local... heh heh... they dun open box but cannot self collect.

kinda slo need the phone ASAP... oh well... will continue to check. thanks..
*
why need to self collect when they deliver straight to your door-step? petrol very cheap? you live in a secret base?
You scared deliver man see your parcel is a phone and want to steal it?
You live in banjir area scared your parcel store in warehouse kena water?

You scared got any damage to the phone when you unbox?
^Ok this 1 legit concern so i wont sarcastic reply you. If you sked of this then take video of your unboxing, for any warranty or exchange/refund claim purposes.
That is what i always do for all my electronics purchased online..

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Dec 23 2021, 05:38 PM)
you dun really browse a lot, do you?

they usually have this:
QUOTE
please take note :
i) Kindly remark on  your package selection item upon checkout.
ii) We will unseal the box for quality inspection and warranty activation purposes

anyway, thanks for your replies.
*
again my advice to you is to stop buying from shady sellers then..

they put that so that they can sell 2nd hand phones to you at new phone price la laugh.gif laugh.gif

Why need to "activate" warranty? Nowadays most phones warranty auto follow your invoice/receipt date, you dont need to activate any thing..

Still got people fall for activate warranty in 2021? What is this? 2010??? I think even in 2012/13 when smartphones boomed also that time didn't need to activate or register for warranty purposes.. Just bring phone to service centre with receipt/invoice good enough..

LMAOOOO, thanks for the good laugh though..
