Security update is 2 or 3 years for F3?



Means around March 2023 should be the last update?

My hand so itchy to grab the Galaxy S23 but this F3 is still going strong for my daily usage.

Maybe wait for Android 13 (MiUi 14) update?

Today i concluded it is hardware problem already

2 days ago i did full reset and problem never reoccurred... until today. damn

any idea which hardware problem is it? Is it board issue?

yes send to SC let them check and confirm on what's the issue, after find out only then think how to proceed, whether repair or whatever.
if you very lucky, could even get it fixed for free if they determined it was manufacturing defect. you can try make noise and let your dissatisfaction be known also if your phone is like very new. complain about your lemon unit, see what they can do about it.

btw F3 motherboard = 1.5k not 500. crazy. more expensive than the whole phone itself.

if really motherboard spoil and need replace is totally not worth it.

F4 screen > F3 screen

but

F3 speakers > F4 speakers.

F4 speakers quite underwhelming. 
The F3's speakers on the other hand is damn good, even better than premium flagships.

I'm able to retrieve the IMEI. Phone still can use but intermittently

Just came back from SPR phone shop. Was quoted RM420 to repair the board, and it will take up to 1 week+
They said its hard to diagnose as need to troubleshoot 1 by 1 to identify the root cause.

may i ask you guys opinion is it worth to repair?

Lowyat one is still operating, that's where I went to replace my F3 screen recently.

They changed location tho according to my friend who frequents there, but still at highest floor where the usual service centers for various tech brands located.

RM348 for screen + RM60 labor - RM30 diagnostic (RM 30 paid when handing over your phone).

I didn't replace battery but official service center follows standard prices so RM48.86, but likely 49+30+30 when in your bill. IE: Official screen price is RM347.90 but charged 348+30+30.

any case recommend ? the back glass always broke I change 2 times

I used ringke fusion x before, my back glass cracked when falling from waist level.

Still haven't replaced the back glass.

no idea how much to fix it.

do you use the power button a lot?

the only time i need to press the power button is to restart/turn off the phone, which i hardly ever do..

Did u have volte enabled? If u have volte then u can just force vowifi by dialing *#*#869434#*#*

Basically it'll force vowifi swith to appear in Xiaomi phone setting regardless of telco support. Obviously also need telco support at their end too for it to actually work. After dialing the code then the vowifi toggle will appear in phone settings, enable it and see if vowifi icon appear in status bar. Then check by dialing out and receiving call. Test for a few days, see if your contacts complain can't reach u or not. If they complain then can redial the code again to reenable default behavior.

I did the same and it works fine. Contacted maxis cs to enable volte and vowifi but only volte enabled, vowifi switch doesn't appear on phone settings. Did the code, vowifi toggle appeared, i turned it on and tested for a week or 2. Now I've reset it to default behavior again and the vowifi toggle stays and vowifi still works.

2 weeks ago, my F3 suddenly shutdown and can't be turn on or charge. Plug on PC no signal. Can't boot to recovery and fastboot mode.

Luckily still have warranty (March 2023 lol). Decided to send my phone to Service centre @ MidValley.

They said need to replace the main board. Data all will be gone. 3 days later they called me to pickup the phone.

A bit sad all my data can't be saved. Just happy the service is free of charge.
Reminder to all to backup your data everyday.

Edit : My phone bootloader is unlocked with custom ROM. They still accepted it for warranty.

So far it works fine. Can't say not buggy at all because i rarely make or take calls but when i did, it works.

Thats what I've already said. Of course need to call telco cs first and ask them to enable vowifi at their end. The switch can't magically make wovifi work without telco vowifi sip server.

Well not me personally, did that on my mom Xiaomi. What they said should be right, volte shared some tech with vowifi and if you already got maxis volte working, vowifi should be working too. Just that Xiaomi whitelist which telco to allow vowifi via the toggle. The ussd code only bypass the whitelist and show it on all sim without check.

Did it even work without airplane mode, like does the vowifi icon appear in status bar? Maxis vowifi is weird not like digi vowifi that can use while roaming outside malaysia to bypass incoming call charges by using vowifi in airplane mode. Maybe try with other wifi in case your wifi is the problem. Try with kfc mcd wifi or office wifi or something. I just tried on my own xiaomi, not the f3 but 11t, maxis vowifi still work in airplane mode can dial the 123 and hear the bot cs greeting but I'm not roaming.
