no, only one of them,. vowifi logo will show in status bar, but volte wont.

normally if you using wifi it will stick with vowifi, when switch to data become volte.. logic mah.

but for me using digi, with wifi at home, it hops between vowifi and volte from time to time.. like while using the phone, you can see currently it using vowifi, then suddenly will be gone the vowifi symbol but if check by pulling down notification shade volte will be shown..

idk for mine why my vowifi goes on and off.. but volte remains permanent la whenever theres no vowifi

QUOTE(axxer @ Feb 28 2023, 12:59 AM)
Another way to check the current status of both volte and vowifi is by *#*#4636#*#*

Click which sim u wanna check, after few second 3 dot should appear on top right. Click it and choose ims service status. If you're currently connected to 4g tower with volte,  the voice over lte status will be shown as available. If you're currently connected to wifi and vowifi is working, the voice over WiFi status will be shown as available.

QUOTE(soulz69 @ Feb 28 2023, 08:00 AM)
nope. volte will disappear when vowifi is available.

Yeah I think Maxis really does not support VoWifi for Poco F3. I've tried everything; connecting to other WiFis, allow IPsec passthrough on router, turn off Private DNS. Damn it Maxis :/

Same as mine, first batch. How hard did you abuse the phone? Gaming, e.g. genshin impact everyday?

sorry, when I say abuse, I mean like i drop it quite often. Being the clumsy me, I know I always drop my phone and I got an okay casing to go with it since day 1, but every time I drop it, the screen is still fine. But 1 fine day last week, the phone suddenly hangs (it never hangs on me before) and turn off itself and couldn't be turn on anymore.

I rarely game on it, mostly fb, insta and youtube(mostly). A few pubg at the beginning just to test the smoothness, and never game anymore since.

After many research, it seems like Xiaomi's phone does suffer such issue of processor failing.

Another to add is, this phone rarely heats up on me as I dont open any heavy apps or multitask that much.

Do update if the CPU reballing fixes it. I thought CPU getting loose from the motherboard was more commonly an X3 Pro issue.

Finally vowifi on maxis in Miui 14.
*
Daheck... so it's because of MiUi version? Damn I thought it's Maxis side. I'm guessing you're not on Global MiUi 14?

Poco F3 on/off fell down. Any experience before, and how much to fix at the service center?
*
Do you mean your physical power button came off? The power button is a piece by itself but online official price list does not mention it. Give them a call but do note labour cost alone is RM60.

Side note: Shopee lists it for about RM30+, not sure if accurate.

Nothing breaking yet. Haha, for me it's disappointing they still haven't fix the L1 Widevine issue.
Yes.
*
Is it smoother? Ram management any improvements?

Oh L1 still an issue? I remember couple of updates back L1 constantly downgrades to L3 (Standard Definition). Now this issue doesn't seem to occur at latest MiUi 13.

Uh oh constant reboots? Hopefully it's not caused by MiUi 14. Doesn't sound good. My F3 is still fine, I'm just waiting MiUi 14 OTA update.

Yup I'm aware of this, others here have mentioned it. Thanks for sharing tho. I'm just waiting to see how long it would take for official OTA update here.

So, since i had upgraded to miui 14, just want to reconfirm, this is L1 you guys talked abou before right?

So, L1 is the highest? No need to do anything right?
*
Yup seems like it. You can check it in netflix app too under 'playback specification'.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo has launched in China, likely to be Poco F5 in global launch. Specs do seem pretty good with base starting at 1999RMB.

Okay everyone mostly knows that Snapdragon 7 series is a midrange chip and might be dissapointed since Poco F series tends to always come with flagship level SD 8 series chips. However, Qualcomm has stepped up their game this year due to intense competition from Mediatek's Dimensity chips. This *midrange* chip is a lot more powerful in relative to all previous midrange chips from Qualcomm. To put it simply, it is almost as powerful as the SD 8+ Gen 1. In fact, it's practically almost identical by sharing the same architecture/design and 4nm TSMC process as the SD 8+ Gen 1, except it's underclocked to lower speeds. Antutu scores for the chip breached 1 million, thereby trumping SD 870's 700k score. This chip will likely be Qualcomm's new budget king chip.

For more information regarding SD 7+ Gen 2

just noticed my F3 battery bloated -- the back casing almost popping out. called Service Center and i think so far in Klang Valley, all no stock.

cost will be about rm140+... based on Xiaomi website, rm40+ for battery, rm60+ for labour and another rm30+ for accessories (i think for glue seal, etc)

not cheap. is there any Service Day for Xiaomi? I know Honor and Huawei used to have...
*
Damn, how old is your phone and what is the battery health percentage? I thought they don't charge for accessories, just battery and labour, ~RM110. Unless you confirmed in call?

i got this unit end of 2021 while waiting for my Mi 10T Pro to be fixed (they later gave me a new Mi 11T Pro). so, that's less than 1.5years old.

only noticed it recently, but i think it bloated like a few months back (had let family member use it instead since i got the replacement mi 11t pro) coz already felt something not right but didn't check back then.

anyway, confirmed it's rm140+ coz spoke to the person on the phone and was asking them to help check if got stock (thats's also why i know Klang Valley no stock at the moment). i guess logical since need to open back case and then seal it back. but dem... rm30+ for accessories feels a lot. would have expected them to bundle it with the rm60 labour...
*
Wah means about a year+ of use then bloated. Heavy usage? Physical damage from drops?

Wtf is accessories? The glue? Lmao RM30 for just glue they better give me the whole damn can. I would have thought labour is all there is, please don't tell me accessories is their tools lmao.

Damn OTA update for MiUi 14 until now still hasn't shown up. Slowpoke Xiaomi, might just manually update it.

You can get it by going Settings > Additional settings > Region

Then randomly pick country since most other countries got it already IE Singapore/Thailand/etc.

Then check for updates, it should appear. After download and update finish then can change region back to Malaysia.
*
Yup, did what you mentioned and got it. Thanks!

QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Apr 11 2023, 08:14 PM)
I also still havent got, you could manually download the zip file from the links above, then tap on the miui logo a few times in updater, it will enable a few more settings, 1 allowing you to manually select an update zip file to install
*
The above method from White2000 works too. Changed to Singapore and instantly had the update available.

So far I feel no difference, maybe some movement of the options in settings and that's about it. Everything else also looks the same. First issue I'm seeing is that the refresh rate isn't as adaptive as before, e.g. Netflix is locked to 120hz even in full screen.

On a side note, Maxis users may rejoice as VoWifi now works on the F3. Done and tested.

Will have to see how battery life fairs after a couple of days.

how can you tell what fps the screen currently displaying?

use what program/app?
*
In settings > additional settings > developer options, scroll down and there will be an option to turn on screen refresh rate.
