I have a cn mi11u and I kind of agree with this. got the miui13 promt to upgrade and thank god I dint upgrade as I watch china social media complant about all the bugs in miui 13. probally staying with 12.5.20 as it is serving me well. maybe I'll even stay forever on miui 12.

also I just want to share a video about the mi11u
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - Long Term Review: Everything you Need to Know

for anyone with mi 11 ultra just get rid of all the bloat turn off all the features that you dont need switch to fhd and 60 fps and if you want swtich to power saving mode. I know its not utilizing all the features but I want to reliable phone and one that last. also do note I only use my mi11u to shoot video and its always in aeroplane mode.

cant wait to see what the xiaomi 12 ultra will bring not that I'm uprading anytime as mi11u is enuf for now.

Or get the mid-range phone, like Redmi Note 11 or Poco M4 Pro 5G. You can literally change phone every 2 years. Even got good resale value.

I am beginning to lose my patience with Lei Jun & his so called billions of dollars of R&D. His MIUI 13 is filled with bugs new bugs & old bugs from MIU 12.5 included.

Check 2 apps - Galaxy Watch plug in app and Galaxy Wearable. Then check if the apps have no battery interference. Then check if the apps have full permissions.

I was frustrated when trying to pair with Fit 2, too. But finally managed to connect and it's fine after that.

i never had any good thing to say about MIUI.

they were buggy so long time ago and still buggy now. it's like as though a totally new team takes over each time there is a new version. and they dun use any notes from previous team and just start fresh. all bugs that got fixed, etc... gets unfixed in new version. and it repeats itself.

the bugs in 12.5 is bearable & acceptable. but MIUI 13 bugs is ridiculous for a 2021 flagship phone.

same. sometimes happen for me. sometimes don't.

since you said it's dark mode, I suspect might be the second option. will try disabling that..

many thanks for sharing that info

looks like miui still has stability issues after all these years. I faced the same issues during the redmi 1 days. worked flawlessly out of the box, by the first major update it became laggy and the camera app would automatically close on its own. by the second update, it would start randomly rebooting on its own until the phone wouldnt even fully boot anymore. it was stuck in a reboot loop everytime it got to the launcher logo.

checked the forums, etc, but no one had a clue. most ppl were also facing other issues.

even visiting the xiaomi subreddit now, it seems like bugs are just common tolerated. there are dozens of threads of ppl reporting various issues after updating, most of which are left unanswered because no know knows.

almost like a planned obsolescence update by xiaomi. if youre unlucky to be selected, you hope a factory reset works or that the phone still has warranty. otherwise youre out of luck.

what a shame, and i was thinking of getting a 10t lite. xiaomi specs are great on paper, but the software stability is pretty poor for such a large co. maybe it is better to spend a bit more for a pixel or iphone for stability.

My experience with MIUI update (using various Xiaomi and Poco models over the years) is that they tend to fix one thing and intro bugs.

Unless you have serious problems (or security issues/patches) with your out-of-box MIUI when you received the new phone, I suggest DON'T update. Until you have no choice to update MIUI. If need update, my experience is to do a full factory reset after update.

Sometimes, if you can live with the the out-of-box MIUI version, then just stay at that. My recent experience with MIUI 12.x update has been horrible. They removed/disabled some key features and some apps crashes or UI is broken after update. This is stock phone/MIUI, no root or whatsoever. Std apps.
